I live in South Wales with my daughter and our pet cat. Besides study and work, I enjoy walking, keeping fit and photography. I have also recently volunteered at a local primary school working on numeracy/literacy interventions and I recently worked part time at in the Learning Support department of a local Comprehensive school. I left school with one A* grade, six A grades and four B's. A's being in English, Biology and Geography. I was also a prefect in school chosen for my level of drive.

During sixth form I was a student mentor where I helped GCSE students with their upcoming exams and acted as a person of support and welfare. I studied law achieving an A*, sociology achieving an A and psychology achieving a B grade.

I'm currently a third year psychology student at the University of Birmingham. During my time at university I have gained an in depth background knowledge in psychology including child and educational psychology. While I'm a tutor, I'm also a supply teacher in my local area high schools principally for maths, physics and other subjects as required.

All students are different, so I strive to find what interests the student and work from there. An engaged student is a keen student.

It is important that the principles are understand because all else flows from this. I use examples from the students' course work and life situations to focus on what is important to the student, to put things in a language that they can understand. This can be through explanations, sketches, diagrams etc. When this happens and the light goes on, there is great satisfaction that the student is taking an interest in the subject.

Hannah completed her undergraduate degree at the University of St Andrews and did her research project on the neuromuscular disorder Parkinson's disease. I have worked within primary schools, as a teacher across many year groups, for almost 10 years. I am currently taking a break from school life after a relocation, but still love to be involved in education.

I hold a BA (Hons) degree, and QTS. My last role was for nearly 2 years but unfortunately my role was made redundant because the parents are now working from home and they no longer needed the level of support they needed before COVID. I enjoy tutoring children because it means I can give them my undivided attention which means I can understand that particular child's knowledge and skills on a far deeper level. I am 34 year old female, looking to support learners with their education. Teaching has always been my passion since I was a little girl, and this has continued to grow as I have gotten older. I was diagnosed as dyslexia went I joined university, and this has yet to stop me from being successful. The fact that I struggled my way through school, has meant that I am particularly keen in supporting students who do not always find things easy, I believe I am a good role model to students with needs, and am proof that barriers can be overcome. It just takes the right support and patience to succeed.
