Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring on a one-to-one basis for over 20 years. I also sometimes teach small classes. I am happy teaching children, teenagers, university students and adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:
My teaching uses traditional methods and lively interaction. I expect the student to complete tasks between lessons. Without repetition and revision no-one can be expected to remember. Personal Description:
I believe it is very important for children to have a knowledge of a modern language, and that anyone can learn a foreign language, as long as they put enough work into it.I love my teaching work and my subject, and am currently studying for the Diploma in Translation.

Teaching Experience:
I have been working as a private tutor now for eighteen years, mainly to GCSE and 'A'-level students,.although I have also taught adults in a family environment. Before working as a private tutor,I spent nine years teaching my subject in secondary education.Over the years I have been able to improve students' exam grades,so that they are able to continue with their studies,or,in the case of 'A'-level students, gain entry to University.I am happy to supply recent references. In recent years, I have come to specialize in helping GCSE pupils with their speaking and writing tasks for their controlled assessments, which many find daunting. In the majority of cases I have been able to achieve a significant improvement in the final grade.

Tutoring Approach:
Every student is different, and I will always try to adapt my teaching methods to the needs of each student.I use both computer technology and up-to-date textbooks as teaching aids,as required.I believe that each lesson should be carefully planned as part of an overall programme of development and study.I cover the syllabus and examinations of all the National Awarding Bodies, and provide any assistance with coursework.I believe that establishing a good rapport between tutor and student is important in order to improve standards.

I lived in Paris for 7 years where I worked at ELLE, the well known women's fashion magazine, where I used solely French as well as a stint at Kantar Health and the majority of my time at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. I have a clean criminal record and can boast a detention-less education!

Teaching Experience:
I now have teaching experience and I have shadowed those who have done this for a job. I have worked voluntarily in a school teaching beginner's Italian. Having already worked as a conversation tutor in a private school, I feel I would excel in giving private lessons, given the chance.

Tutoring Approach:
I feel every student works at their own pace, however it would not take me long to work out an approach which would realise the full potential of the tutee. I am patient and I can sympathise that learning a new language or topic can be frustrating. I've often found practicing certain exercises to be the most effective way to get over any tricky topic.

I graduated in 2005 in the field of Philology, majoring in Teaching of the French Language.
I was working both in primary and high schools in Poland.
I have learnt there how to identify and find ways to effectively aid the learning and meet pupils' needs in ways which appeal to and best help them develop and gain a beneficial experience from their education so that they can achieve their full potential.
I taught Polish, English and French. The range of my clients was very diverse. I was also working with adults' casual learners and company directors with foreign capital or students who were going to work abroad.

Teaching Experience:
2016 freelancer -private tutor- teaching Polish, French and English, including clients with special needs

Tutoring Approach:
I offer an approach to teaching adapted to the individual needs, personalised style of teaching.
As a keen student of foreign languages, mainly French, I am also passionate about teaching languages to students at the earliest possible age. Languages open the door to exciting opportunities in life and providing children with language skills at an age when they are most receptive to absorbing information will allow them to make the most of these in future.

My time in school and as a private tutor has developed my philosophy of valuing each student as an individual, as well as part of a community. I aim to give me students as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate to take more responsibility for their own learning.

I feel it is essential to make learning exciting and creative; therefore, I always make my lessons interactive, give students choices and relate teaching program to their point of interest.

Tutoring Approach:
"David has been tutoring our son via Skype for the last year, since his Spanish teacher said she did not want to put him in for GCSE Spanish as she thought he would fail. David has been marvellous with coaxing and coaching him and giving him confidence. Just the one to one attention has been hugely beneficial, and the bonus that "tech" was involved, and that there was no time lost in driving to and from lessons has been a real godsend too. David is incredibly supportive and encouraging without being at all patronising, and really strikes the right balance to get the best out of his students. Can recommend unreservedly."
Mrs F, Gloucestershire,

"Our son has flourished under David's tutelage; the balance and content of homework and classwork has been very carefully gauged and enabled our son to progress rapidly, with great enthusiasm for his studies. The weekly reports David submits have been of immense value to us as parents trying to support our son's learning, as has the clear structuring, marking and regular review of work." Dr M. and Mr E.

"David has provided my daughter with an excellent grounding in Spanish prior to her starting the subject at school. He has guided her through the basics in a clear, thoughtful and well-informed way and has formed a very good relationship in which she has felt engaged, supported and motivated." Mrs W.

"My two children (ages 9 and 10) have progressed rapidly in their French learning with David. His lessons with them are focused and thorough, and his approach is patient and clear. He has great enthusiasm for languages and significant experience in teaching them, which show through in his lessons. My children both very much enjoy their lessons and are even happy to do the homework! David is also very helpful in working with us to find the best ways to support their learning between lessons. " Jenny T

"Dear David, Thank you so much for all your help and guidance when I applied for the Chaplaincy. It was good, too, to see you there when I went for interview" Revd. Michael P"

"Sabine was invaluable during my French studies, and I absolutely loved our lessons together. Sabine is a patient teacher who helped me to speak French naturally and fluently and to master difficult grammar structures. With Sabine's help, I was able to achieve an A* at French A Level, with full marks for my final year speaking and writing papers."
Emma

"Sabine has tutored both of my children for GCSE French, and she has been fantastic. Sabine worked wonders with my son and daughter: her support really boosted their confidence and they both made rapid progress. Sabine has an excellent knowledge of the exam requirements and enabled my children to revise in a more effective manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Sabine to anyone looking for a French tutor."
Louise (Parent)

I would definitely recommend Sabine for tutoring, I have had the most wonderful 4 years with her, always making me feel confident with my work and pushing me to achieve my full potential. Thanks to Sabine, I was inspired to do A-Level French which she taught with such enthusiasm and made it a fun yet challenging experience. I am more than grateful to have her, and you can always rely on the fact that she will go through every method until you fully understand, no matter how long it takes!

I enjoy teaching one to one and providing a learner with the extra edge that can provide. I like to build on a student's knowledge and language confidence by reviewing what has been learned in class and identifying any gaps in understanding. I like to teach in the target language when it helps student confidence.

For students who want to go that bit further, or who may be considering a language A level, I encourage them to watch and discuss films and programmes in the target language, and read some great literature as part of their language learning experience.
