I am an experienced and skilled Tutor of French, Russian and English as a foreign language. I have been tutoring continuously on a part time basis for 12 years, typically working with 5 or 6 students at any one time. I have spent several years living and working abroad, so this has given me quite an international outlook. Since becoming a Private Tutor 20 years ago, I have helped over 1000 students to increase and exceed their grades in Maths and English Lanuage and Literature, sometimes by up to three grades.

I have also successfully coached adult learners for Functional English and Maths tests from Level 1 to Level 3, as well as students who speak English as a second language, for GCSE and IGCSE English and Maths exams.

Additionally, I tutor students in entrance test preparation skills for the 8, 11 and 13 plus exams.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with over ten years of experience working in education. I have taught across different year groups and currently tutor pupils from Years 3 to 9 in English and maths. I also have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. I am warm, reliable and approachable, and I genuinely enjoy helping children recognise their abilities and make progress.

Teaching Experience:
I have worked in education for over ten years and qualified as a primary school teacher in 2020. During this time, I have taught Years 2, 4, 5 and 6, as well as gaining experience across EYFS to Key Stage 3 through supply teaching. I have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and particular experience in English, maths, phonics and SATs preparation. While teaching Year 6, 86% of my class achieved the expected standard across reading, writing and maths.

Before qualifying as a teacher, I worked as a teaching assistant, intervention teacher and one-to-one SEN support assistant.
