I am an MFL teacher with bags of enthusiasm and an immense passion for education and children. It is my goal to combine my range of experiences with my ability to be an enthusiastic teacher to make a positive contribution to my online tutoring sessions.

Teaching Experience:
2019-Present
Bilingual Project Officer- MEAS- Wirral Council
I provide a Traded Service to support schools in Wirral to meet the needs of pupils with English as an additional language (EAL) and ethnic minority pupils. My role is to facilitate good home/school communication for refugee and asylum- seeking families with aim of ensuring that each pupil achieves their full potential. I support pupils' settling into school and development of English sometimes via translations of instructions and curriculum language. I also provide support for families prior to and during admission of children with EAL to school/setting. Encourage and promote home-school/setting-community links for example: supporting schools in developing initiatives to meet the needs of EAL parents by providing information about ESOL classes and weekend community language classes. On the other hand, I provide information for staff regarding pupil's first language, cultural and religious issues, meanwhile, I support staff with any initial or ongoing pupil assessment and prepare dual language labels and materials for schools/setting.

2018- Present
Arabic Language Assessment Specialist, Cambridge International Assessments , Cambridge University, UK.
Successfully participated as an Assistant Moderator (Postal), to moderate the work from approximately 20 centres with candidates taking the examination in 0544/03 Foreign Language Arabic Speaking (c/w) for the June 2018 & 2019 sessions. In addition, I have also worked as an Assistant Examiner to mark the work of approximately 400 candidates taking the examination in 0508/01 First Language Arabic Reading (scoris) for the June 2018&2019 sessions, where the marking was done via RM processor. Furthermore, due to my excellence in the pre mentioned 4 modules, I was asked to perform further services with Cambridge assessments, where I was required to proofread test material for 3180/01 & 3180/02 OL Arabic June 2019. Throughout my work with Cambridge, a keen eye on detail and meeting deadlines were a key aspect of my work which extended my contracts further in 2019, when I was asked to be the Setter for the 9680/21 test material for AL Arabic November 2021.

2014-Present
Arabic Language Facilitator - University of Chester
Planning, running and administering Arabic evening classes for undergrades and open for the public. 10 years working within the university where I became an Arabic Edexcel GCSE Examiner, International Cambridge Speaking, reading and translation moderator as well as supporting with IB Diploma.
I have been running the Arabic evening classes at the Modern Languages Department, where I have enjoyed engaging my students in different Arabic language activities to facilitate their language acquisition through Mastering Arabic Series.

I support SEN children in reading, writing, and learning skills to access the curriculum ,inside the classroom and out. My EAL teaching experience and school environment knowledge enhance me to ease acquiring social and communicational skills as well.

2017-2018
Arabic Teacher - Al Noor Supplemnetary School / Manchester
Planning and facilitating Arabic Language KS1 & KS2 classes for both natives and non-speakers. I was responsible for presenting and facilitating lessons and activities for practice.
Supporting children in reading, writing, and learning skills. My role included running parents evenings and participation in a number of school trips, workshops and events organization.
I also built up experience while working with some SEN EAL children, supporting them inside the classroom and during the break time.

2014- 2017
Mid-Day Assisstant at Chester Blue Coat CE Primary School.
Providing different services during the lunch break time, either in the dinner hall, or in the playground outside. The job enables me to help children in different aspects of the school life and widens my exposure and experience to the children's full school day activities.

Tutoring Approach:
Whether tutoring online or F2F, I incorporate communicative teaching approach to meet my tutees' needs and plan Scheme of work within the agreed time frame.

I have experience across several institutions, including the University of Bristol, University of Bath, University of York, Bath Spa University, and Universidad de Manizales in Colombia. I'm genuinely curious about you and your studies, and I see tutoring as a space to explore your ideas together. I enjoy discussing big-picture questions as well as working through the details - but I'll always take your lead and adapt to your needs. I'm based in Bristol and happy to explore in-person sessions after we've had an initial online meeting.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience tutoring learners of all ages and backgrounds, both in the UK and internationally. I particularly enjoy working with university-level students and adult learners, especially in the social sciences and humanities. Alongside tutoring, I currently work in university curriculum and assessment design, which means I'm well placed to support students navigating assignments, academic writing, and feedback. Whether you're building confidence in your studies or working towards a specific goal, I'll aim to meet you where you are.

My approach is collaborative and student-centred. I see myself as a supportive sounding board - someone to think with, reflect with, and help you move forward with confidence. Whether you're clarifying ideas, improving your writing, or navigating academic feedback, we'll find what works best for you. I aim to help you build confidence in your academic voice. I'm also happy to review drafts between sessions when time allows.
