Prior to university education, I achieved A* in every Maths and Further Maths Papers (for Further Maths: Pure Core 1, Pure Core 2, Further Statistics, Further Mechanics, and Further Additional Pure). I have a huge love for maths and what it can teach you - it's not just all numbers! It has many applications to real life and is so rewarding when you get it right. I believe any maths can really help you to develop your resilience, analytical thinking, and creativity: there are often so many ways to approach problems! As an extra-curricular alongside my course, I take Spanish, studying at roughly C1/C2 standard. Aside from academics, I particularly enjoy running, biking, and swimming in my free time, as well as playing the piano.

Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring throughout my undergraduate degree course at university, spanning GCSE Foundation and Higher Tier, GCSE Further Maths, and A-Levels. This has successfully culminated in improving grades of my students, for example from C to A at A Level. I have mentored students at GCSE Maths level during my time in Sixth-Form at secondary school, as a way to give back to the community. Furthermore, I have been volunteering for over 6 months as a GCSE Foundation Maths Curriculum Administrator at an organisation promoting increased opportunity for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This involves developing KS4 lesson plans, reviewing and improving existing lesson plans, and marking exam papers. I am excited to develop new teaching strategies that I have learnt work best for me over the years, but I will always prioritise the student's understanding first. If it doesn't quite click using one way of explaining - don't worry! We will explore new and different ways to approach the question.

Tutoring Approach:
I love personalising my lessons to the student's wants and needs, with a special emphasis on encouraging confidence in students. Never be scared to ask a question and have a go, and trust your instincts too! I teach the key theories behind questions which allows you to add new ways to approach unseen questions using your whole arsenal of weapons you subsequently have at your disposal. I use a combination of teaching by examples, as well as setting independent practice questions which we can go through if there are any difficulties.
