Prior to this I was a student studying Economics at the University of Birmingham, where I achieved a first level BSc. Also, the coronavirus situation has caused a big dent in the education of many children and I try to ensure through my tuition that my students are successful in spite of it.

My own method of succeeding in exams was centred around deconstructing past papers at the very beginning of the learning process. This method holds strong across A Level and University exams - having refined this process over the past 5 years, we will build our strategy around what the examiner is looking for, cementing theory by using a wide range of my personal bank of exam-style questions from the very start.

I have three years experience of tutoring and marking. Prior to that I have 30 years of real-life experience in accounting and finance. This gives me the edge when making accounting, economics and business studies understandable to students.

My first degree in International History and Politics included Economics as a subsidiary. My professional accountancy qualifications are postgraduate level qualifications in accountancy. An additional bonus is that I hold a second degree level qualification in teaching English, which is an Ofqual regulated teaching qualification.
