I am currently working as a teaching assistant for a special needs secondary school in Bromley Borough, having worked in the field of Information Technology for over 11 years. Working for a special needs school in the UK has given me an insight into education in the public sector. The reason I would like to teach Maths and ICT is that they are my favourite subjects. I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. In 2016 I started offering online tuition, first using Skype, and now with Zoom. I now tutor virtually all of my students online, though I will occasionally tutor at a student's home when my schedule permits.

Tutoring Approach:
For younger students, I assess them on their first appointment to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. I then focus the lessons on the areas they need improvement in, using an individualized approach that is suitable for that particular student. With a Cambridge degree and doctorate in AI I have performed a wide variety of roles including AI research, technical support, network engineering, software development, web development, software engineering, systems analysis ... as well as teaching GNVQ, A Level and University Level. Most recently I have been working as a senior manager in a software engineering company. I am approaching retirement age and returning to teaching. I also work in the Prisons Service and the NHS as a psychodrama psychotherapist and have an enhanced DBS. I will be accepting new students in September 2025.

I have taught GNVQ and A Level at Oxpens FE College in Oxford, and I have taught on the Open University Databases and SQL Level 3 (advanced degree) course.
