In July 2013, I graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, undertaking a BMus (Hons) Music degree (2.1) with a principle study in singing (1st). I took two gap years before going to university to gain experience in the music and drama fields. I have studied modules at university ranging from Bach to Beethoven and Sibelius to Weill.

Teaching Experience:
In my two gap years I was a gap student at Bedales Schools for a term and then was invited back to cover a member of music staff. Responsibilities included teaching 8-13 year old mixed pupils classroom music as well as supervising music practices. I also tutored pupils through grade 5 theory achieving merit and distinction grades.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a very laid-back attitude to teaching and will teach you in similar ways that I have been taught. I understand totally that some pupils need several ways of explaining things so bring a variety of teaching methods to my lessons. I make teaching interesting and engaging and always try to relate the subject to the pupil. I have been very fortunate to learn under some inspirational teachers and would love to be able to carry on their enthusiasm to other students.

I'm 43 years old and live near Bordon, Hampshire. I have been speaking French and Italian for about 20 years. My degree and my Masters degree are in History with Italian and Museum Studies with History respectively and I am very passionate about all of these subjects.

I used to teach English as a Foreign Language in Italy both to large classes and giving one to one tuition and have also reached A-Level and Degree level in both French and Italian. Having started my own music college in South Africa 6 years ago and tutoring students on a one to one basis for the last year in London. A fixture in the London underground DJ community for over 10 years, I recently completed a BA in Music Production at BIMM London (1st degree honours awarded) whilst also holding a MLT in Teaching and Training.

I currently tutor at CM Sounds and Core Arts, both based in east London. Production projects have been varied and exciting with remixes and artist albums released on the original rave era label Kniteforce, and sync remix commissions for UMPG (Universal Music).

Past achievements include gaining a BTec level 3 in Music Technology, Designing and growing a successful underground music website (now officially an archive only), and co founding and running Graffiti Breakz (2007-2010), a successful club event which incorporated DJ's, Live Music and Live art.

I am a singer and also have many years of experience working with the Kodaly method of music education.
