I mainly focus on online tuition, delivered using Skype or other platforms. Teaching Experience:
I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. In 2016 I started offering online tuition, first using Skype, and now with Zoom. I now tutor virtually all of my students online, though I will occasionally tutor at a student's home when my schedule permits.

Tutoring Approach:
For younger students, I assess them on their first appointment to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. Most recently I have been working as a senior manager in a software engineering company. I am approaching retirement age and returning to teaching. I have taught GNVQ and A Level at Oxpens FE College in Oxford, and I have taught on the Open University Databases and SQL Level 3 (advanced degree) course. I've found in the past that the best approach to tutoring is to be very positive and flexible. I have never been a super forceful or strict tutor and think that trying to be too overbearing, particularly in sessions outside of or extra to school like tutoring, just makes people perform worse.
