A current A level tutee of mine told his father "I learnt more in that 2 hour session than I have all term at school" and his headteacher wrote to congratulate him on his improved grades. Our sessions would involve an online call, with or without a webcam, and utilize online resources and screen sharing to discuss and explain together. This would be using whichever software you are most comfortable with, be it Zoom, Teams, Slack, Discord, etc.
