Whilst I was at Moat at during my education at Beauchamp College and Loughborough College I helped to assist/ train a small group in the use of particular pieces of hardware and software At Loughborugh College. Whilst at Moat I assisted staff in the training and understanding of new software to ensure all staff have the confidence to deliver the curriculum and to provide support to staff appropriate to their needs. My approach to teaching/tutoring is a simple one I always strive to make sure the learner understands whats he/she is being taught and if there are aspects that they find difficult I revise that particular topic over and over again until they understand and I do this using the various teaching methods and learning styles available to ne including the VAK (Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic) approach.

A current A level tutee of mine told his father "I learnt more in that 2 hour session than I have all term at school" and his headteacher wrote to congratulate him on his improved grades. Engineering is one of the hardest subjects you can study, and it doesn't help when module content is disorganised, learning materials are messy and hard to follow, and when lecturers are too busy to respond to your questions. Programming and software development is both a hobby and a career for me, and I'd to share some of the knowledge I've built up over the years.

I have a Computer Science BSc (Hons.) first class degree from Royal Holloway University of London, graduating in 2017. Since then, I have worked full-time in the software industry, with a focus on programming and full stack development. I am bilingual in Italian and English after living in Italy for 20 years, I also am fluent in Spanish and French from learning those languages at school from the age of 7. I like to teach by combining text book based learning with practical use of the language I am teaching so for example a typical lesson might start with reviewing the exercises set out in a textbook such as answering a series of questions on a writing passage and then moving into a more conversational type of lesson where we would discuss our plans for the weekend in the language being taught or try some practical exercises such as making a plate of food using the language being taught.
