I have been tutoring students across London in all aspects of Computing since 2015. Having a PhD and a 1st Class Degree in Computer Science from Sheffield University, I have a great deal of experience in everything from general programming to academic research. I worked for a decade as an academic at both Sheffield and Surrey Universities. I have helped many students through their studies at GCSE and A-level, teaching AQA, OCR and CIE syllabuses. I am also happy to teach adult learners who are looking to expand their skillset.

For A-level and GCSE students it is worth beginning tuition as soon as possible, not just in the weeks running up to exams (although this can still help). This is particularly important for Computer Science because students should be learning a programming language in parallel with their studies. Some exam boards require a programming project as coursework, and it is important that this is completed as soon as possible to leave room for exam preparation.

I am happy to help degree students with theory and learning programming, but enquiries asking for help with an assignment for hand in next week are unlikely to be followed up.

Teaching Experience:
I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. In 2016 I started offering online tuition, first using Skype, and now with Zoom. For younger students, I assess them on their first appointment to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. I have a bachelor degree in "Mathematics and Computing", a Master degree in "Mathematics - Numerical Analysis" and a Doctorate degree in "Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence". I am friendly, enthusiastic and honest. I am also bilingual - English and French.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored Mathematics and Computer Science to "GCSE" students and above. I have given 1-2-1 tutoring/coaching to individuals, and courses/seminars to small and large groups of university students and professionals.

I have taught across Key stages 3,4 and 5 at GCSE,BTEC Level 2 Digital IT,AS and A levels during my teaching career. My subject knowledge is outstanding, and i have a proven track record of success within my subject. I aim to ensure that all students can reach their full potential, by providing a kind,caring and enjoyable environment for my students.

Taught for 9 years at a high school in Northumberland. I also design and create websites in my spare time. Been an IT trainer teaching apprentices at Level 3 and 4, Worked in FE colleges including spells at Tynemet College and Newcastle College. Currently I work in a secondary school in North Tyneside. I have 20 years experience of teaching all topics within Computer Science and ICT at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. My teaching experience covers secondary schools, further education colleges and working in the private sector with apprentices.
