I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. I have never been a super forceful or strict tutor and think that trying to be too overbearing, particularly in sessions outside of or extra to school like tutoring, just makes people perform worse. I will always try and be positive and make sure sessions are not painful for students (as I remember how much doing homework can be a chore!), but equally make sure students are getting the most out of sessions by asking questions of them to demonstrate their knowledge and checking they're confident with what we've done.

A friendly and humorous Head of Computer Science.

* Head of Computing and ICT at school in County Durham. * Worked as 2nd in Department as Teacher of Computing at School in Durham where I taught for 9 years. *Specialise in Computer Science at GSCE OCR for both papers 1 and 2 as well as Python coding that will assist the students project and exam technique. *I also specialise at Computing at A Level OCR where I teach all the aspects of the paper one section of the course from Hardware, Software to the Mathematical side of Computing. * I am currently the lead mentor at my school for Computer Science trainee teachers where I aim to try and support the trainee as much as possible in the classroom to help them progress. * Currently exam mark for OCR at both GCSE and A Level. I also mark and moderate for the exam board for Imedia along with Cambridge Technicals Level 3 in IT. * I have plenty of hours of online tutoring offered to students and use the latest technology available to show progress for the students in my care. * Vast knowledge of IGCSE Computing where I have been tutoring international students. * Always try to keep up to date with the technology world that is ever changing, humorous and very outgoing personality. * Always felt that I have built up excellent rapport with students over the years and that it helps the students get the best possible results. * Father of 2 boys (14 and 11), enjoy all aspects of sport especially Cricket, Football and Golf.
