I am a mathematics teacher with a master degree in mathematics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I am 30 years old and focus completely on private tutoring. I've been tutoring Maths, Science and English since 2007, for ages 5 to 50. However, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, GCSEs and A Levels.

Maths, Science and English are the three main subjects that people tend to want tutoring in. (Actually it's five subjects if you break the Science down into Biology, Chemistry and Physics.)

Anyway, as I tutor all of these subjects, my students find it very useful that I can potentially cover a different subject each week, or I can do two hours a week and cover a different subject in each hour.

This obviously makes it much easier for the parents too, because they don't have to find a separate tutor for each subject, or leave their child without the valuable one-to-one support in any of the core subjects.

I've also helped my students with pretty much every major school subject; from History and Religious Studies, to French and Spanish, and even Psychology and Health and Social Care. In fact, experience has shown me that I can help anyone to better understand anything - even something that I didn't even know myself a minute earlier!

I finished my postgraduate study at the University of Birmingham in Dec 2018. I had stayed in UK for more than a year. I really love UK. The time when I was living in UK left me a great and impressive memory.

I was a volunteer teacher when I was an undergraduate student in China. It was in a countryside school of Hunan province. I went there with my schoolmates in a summer holiday. I taught students mathematics and introduced interesting things in the university to them. Although time passed fast, we had wonderful time together. I am a student studying Biomedical Science in the University of Sunderland with an integrated placement at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. I have a passion for teaching Maths, Science and English as they were some of my favourite subjects in school, and since it hasn't been very long since I've left my secondary education, I am well versed in those three subjects, science to a further level due to my degree. I hope I can be of help to all students, as I have a very specific methodology of teaching, personalised for each student, and will be happy to have the student's input too. I love teaching, as for me it's something to help the younger generation and support those who need my help.

I teach English, Science and Maths right now to a couple students, however, some of my students have now reached University and no longer need my help. This means that I have space to take in more students for these subjects, though I can teach a range.
I have experience in teaching those younger than me in my school days, where I headed an afterschool session once a week for those who needed help with anything they were taught throughout the year. I also made sure they were prepared for exam season, making sure that they focused on exam papers, and learning and revising through making mistakes with those questions, rather than making notes.
I have helped students with improving their musical talents as well, as I have played the piano and learnt singing to a high level (Grade 8 Piano and Grade 7 singing), and this helped me learn better communication with students as well as their parents.

I have been taught online as well as helped students online with interview preparation. I found it incredibly fulfilling and much easier than travelling around to places, which can be difficult with those with big workloads or don't have much time during their day. I have taught online during the weekends, as it is much easier to fill up time and space, and think it is the best case scenario for everyone. However, I do understand that doing tutoring online might seem like a waste of time, but I feel as though online tutoring can help students concentrate for longer as they have the ability to do it in their own home.
