A bit of background about me: I completed my degree in chemistry in 1993 and began my PhD in physical chemistry the following year. Following completion of my PhD I continued to work in academic research in physical and materials chemistry until 2002 when I changed career to work in industry. I initially started off as a chemist in an analytical laboratory before working my way into senior management in the automotive, chemical and oil industries. I usually start with the current topics that student is studying in the school and explain to the student that topic and related background knowledge. As I teach one to one, my pace is faster than school and we usually finish the topic in one or sometimes two classes. And then we do previous topics and I explain doubts on those topics. Hi! My name is Amr, I am a qualified lecturer with and holds PhD and MSc in Pharmaceutical Scinces and Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE). I have over 20 years of teaching experience in Science and Mathematics.

I am passionate about helping students develop confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. Throughout my career, I have taught and supported students across a wide range of levels, from GCSE and A-Level.

Teaching Experience:
I am an experienced and passionate Maths and Science Tutor with extensive teaching experience across all three sciences - Biology, Chemistry, and Physics - including Combined Science at both GCSE and A-Level. I am a college student, from the North of England. My academic passions include sciences as well as maths. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy travelling, hiking and new experiences. I am a novice polyglot, fluent in German, Arabic and French.

Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring for 3 years, since I completed my GCSE qualifications in 2023

Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are versatile and fun, all while maintaining the objective of the task at hand. I start by assessing the student's baseline knowledge, then scaffold based on that. I continue the lesson by challenging the student to a high grade level, and finish the lesson off by consolidating all the knowledge learnt in the lesson.
