During my long service in the Pharma industry (~30 years), I have run many short courses and workshops. During 2005/6, I mentored a pupil (Year 10/11) at St. Peter's High School, Longsight, organised by the University of Manchester. After completing my D.Phil from the University of Oxford, I worked for 7 years as a Senior Biologist for a small drug discovery company where I was responsible for screening new drug targets in tissue models for human disease. Outside of tutoring, I spend lots of my time playing the flute, reading, and hiking! I'm looking forward to beginning this tutoring journey in a fun, creative and beneficial way .

Teaching Experience:
I have experience tutoring one to one close friends and family but I believe I am suited to further tutoring since I already have quite a lot of experience in supporting and facilitating young people in scouting since I am an experienced scout leader in the Winchester district. I also would say I have a recent and relevant understanding of the GCSE syllabus and examinations, especially in the sciences since I am currently taking a Bsc Environmental Science degree and my passion for science has only grown since I took my GCSE's.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring will be adapted specially to each student, depending on how they prefer to be taught but also recognizing weaknesses in the syllabus and working on those until overall confidence is build. I hope to teach in a creative, interactive way that will not only build confidence in the syllabus but also in exam technique and exam nerves too, especially for GSCE students. I am happy to teach all exam boards of combined Science GSCE and the sciences separately too.

Personal Description:
I am a Liverpool-based Aerospace Engineering undergraduate at UWE Bristol with nearly six years of tutoring and education-support experience. I teach Maths and Science from KS2 through GCSE, with suitable A-level topics considered after checking the exact subject and content. I offer online tuition across the UK and in-person lessons in selected Liverpool areas.

Teaching Experience:
From August 2020 to June 2026, I worked as a Tutor and Education Support Assistant at The One Tuition Ltd. I delivered one-to-one and small-group tuition, prepared lessons, adapted explanations for different learners and communicated with pupils and parents. My experience includes Maths and Science across KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level, alongside safeguarding, behaviour support and practical support for learners with diverse additional needs.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is patient and structured. I identify the exact misconception, explain the concept clearly, model a worked example and use guided practice before gradually reducing support as the learner becomes more confident.
