Personal Description:
I'm a very approachable person who interacts well with students of all ages. Most would say that I have a positive outlook on life and always leave a positive impact on those I meet. I'm friendly, down to earth and honest. My philosophy is that studies don't have to be boring, and I always use my career as a teacher/tutor as testament to this.

I enjoy a variety of different things such as arts, culture and cuisine. My hobbies include drawing comic strips, magna, anime and playing electric bass. I am open minded and welcome students of any age, race, background and culture as an honour for me to teach.

Teaching Experience:

Over 19 years experience teaching and tutoring in and out of classrooms. I have taught both in the UK and abroad. I am one of the few teachers in London who is able to teach Mathematics, English Language, English Literature and the three respective Sciences to A* at GCSE.

Tutoring Approach:

Each student is different, and I feel it an insult to my students' integrity to tell them how to revise when first meeting them. Through my experience teaching, there is no right way to study, but there are a variety of 'better' ways to make the best grades for each person's potential.

Many students approach me frustrated that they often don't achieve the same calibre as their peers despite the hours they put in. Often it is due to the fact that they aren't their peers and a different approach to revision and homework is required. I believe in working smart before working hard.

We'll tailor a program as a team, and prioritise it factorising your: current ablities, time proximity, and scope of subjects you'd like to cover.

Personal Description:
Unlike most tutors, I am a qualified teacher and have been a successful Head of Physics, Head of science and currently Lead practitioner in charge of STEM outreach. I am actively involved in training other to improve their Science teaching.

I am an experienced Head of Physics and fully qualified secondary school teacher in Science. I have vast experience of tutoring from year 7 up to A-level and unlike other tutors I am also teaching in the classroom. This allows me to be up-to-date with curriculum changes, coursework requirements and thorough knowledge of areas which students struggle with in all aspects of Science. I am also a sixth form school tutor which means that I understand the requirements for entry into sixth form and the UCAS process.

I am originally from Wales. I consider myself to be friendly and conscientious. Education is an important tool and I enjoy working with children and seeing them be the best that they can be.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently a Lead practitioner of Science/STEM, after having been a Head of Physics at a secondary school with 16+ years experience. I am responsible for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) at my school. Both of my parents were teachers and tutors (Head of Department in Science/Physicist and SENCO) whilst I was growing up. Therefore teaching and education have always been an important part of my life.
I am a teacher and have taught 11-19 year old students in three comprehensive mixed schools in various boroughs in London including Hillingdon, Camden and Haringey. I currently teach in Dorset.

I have a vast understanding of all GCSE and A-level specifications and have been an examiner for OCR and AQA.

Tutoring Approach:

Each child is different, so I like to design a plan after first finding out where the problems arise. Every child is different and I find that you cannot treat every child in the same way. I follow the syllabuses and specification, as these are my main tools as well as past exam papers........practice means progress!

It is great to see their confidence growing in the subject and hopefully their enjoyment!

Personal Description:
Worried you or your kid might be lacking at studies????? No worries!!!! I am here to help.
Maths has always been my favorite subject (scored 100 % in 2/4 modules in a level) so I am ready to help in Maths and all the Sciences.
Fully DBS (updated version of CRB) checked as I am a community first responder volunteer ambulance services and I am also a 5th year MEDICAL STUDENT.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a private tutor for many years now (since 2006) and have a record of 93% of my tutees so far having obtained grade A or above in the respective subjects with none of my tutees so far ever obtaining lower than B.
It all started when I was a prefect at my school and college where I used to help students of different levels (including my friends from my own year) in learning difficult topics (in maths and science) and in preparing for exams. I have also helped a few teachers several times during an actual school lesson as teacher's assistant. But most importantly, in these many years as a private tutor, I have helped a lot of pupils only do well in their GCSEs and A-level. So far they have all achieved much higher standard than they were predicted by their teachers and this success of all these past tutees of mine makes me work even harder with all the new ones every year.

Just to assure you that I am not shy of putting in hard work I would like to bring to your attention that I did all my GCSEs in a single year instead of 2 and also ended up doing 2 of the subjects early. Even though maths was one of the early subjects, I still got A* and went on to do AS maths in the same year in which I also got A. So, maybe I can help with not only Maths and sciences but also with the management of time and workloads along with building their confidence and bringing out their desire to learn.

Tutoring Approach:

Will depend on the needs of the tutee as everyone is different but one thing that remains the same for all is the commitment and the level of sincerity from me.

Personal Description:
Hi,
I enjoy teaching and researching. Currently, I am working as a researcher at the university.
My area of expertise includes, Biology, Maths, Chemistry and Pharmacology.
In my quest of higher education currently I am working as a research Scientist in molecular pharmacology, and cell biology. My project is associated with Lister Hospital, Stevenage, UK.

Teaching Experience:

Visiting Lecturer at the university level From last 3 years. Teaching students at the university level theoretically as well as wet lab experiments. I had 6 Nuffield bursary students to teach in the university in last 2 years. All of them are very competent and few of them went to imperial collage, cambridge, oxford and kings for the graduation.

Tutoring Approach:

If a student is not have an interest and intellectual in to the subject, I take it as a challenge. I prefer to correlate the tedious concept of science with the normal day to day life and give a flavor of importance or demand of a particular subject.
Give me an opportunity to introduce myself and I am confident that I will not disappoint you. So far, none of my student left my tuition and stayed with me for longer.

Personal Description:
I have a PhD in chemistry from a university in the United States. Personally I'm friendly and supportive and easy to get along with.

Teaching Experience:

I have been working as a private tutor for more than 15 years and during that time I have helped hundreds of students. Many of my students have gone on to study Medicine, Dentistry or other subjects at top universities in this country and abroad. I'm familiar with all of the different exam boards (AQA, OCR, EdExcel, IB, CIE).
Before becoming a tutor I had almost 18 years experience of teaching chemistry and biochemistry at university level.

Tutoring Approach:

Every student is unique. It is vital for students to have confidence in their ability. I try to help students to study in the most efficient way in order to achieve the best results and to realize their true potential. I use problem sets and questions from previous exams as much as possible. I have a range of textbooks and teaching resources that I can use. I am happy to have an initial informal meeting to discuss the students requirements before lessons begin. I am always happy to discuss a students progress with his/her parents.

Personal Description:
Post doctoral researcher at University of Sheffield, working to improve mathematical computer models which predict onset of heart disease.

I recently completed a PhD in Bioengineering at Imperial College London, carrying out mathematical research on heart disease. My first degree was in Maths at the same university, and I took a Masters in Biomedical Research in between.

I attended both a state school and a top boarding school and am comfortable to cover topics on and off the standard syllabus.

I am a very fun, friendly person with a wide range of activities and hobbies from inline skating to singing and playing the violin.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored A-level maths privately for a few years, and also spent several weeks as a teaching assistant in a secondary school during my undergraduate degree as part of the Student Associates Scheme. Many of my contemporaries from university are science and mathematics teachers across England and overseas, and I periodically discuss teaching methods and curriculum changes with them.

During my PhD, I led undergraduate tutorials and problems classes in the Mathematics and several Engineering departments, teaching undergraduates from 1st year to 4th year. The courses include Mathematical Methods, Matlab, Fluid Mechanics, PDEs, Modelling in Biology, Heat and Mass Transfer. I also carried out 1-1 tuition for undergraduates at departmental request. I have supervised a number of undergraduate and masters research projects and summer students.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very approachable person and I prefer interactive sessions, although I can tailor the tuition style to the individual.

A first meeting would involve an informal chat for the student and I to get more familiar with his/her needs and style of working, and everything follows from there.

I am an experienced tutor that enjoys tutoring children and have made a difference to the lives of numerous students who were struggling before but under my guidance have achieved their full potential and excellent grades.
I am working full time in a London Borough of Ealing school at the moment.I am a very patient and a caring tutor

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is based on the individual's needs.I assess the pupil first and then cater the lesson accordingly based upon individual needs. The lesson progresses according to the pace of the learner.I differentiate and meet the needs of the pupil.I break the information up into easy steps for some or go straight to the next step for others depending on the student.I praise and motivate the pupil and enhance their confidence.
After teaching a certain topic I also provide a piece of homework to reinforce knowledge. There is continuous on going assessment so that I am aware which topics need more practice.

Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher and Cambridge graduate with 15 years of experience tutoring both science and maths. I focus on improving confidence and fostering a deeper understanding of each topic. By relating theoretical concepts to everyday ideas, I help students find the common-sense structure hiding behind abstract numbers and theories. I also provide guidance on revision technique and intensive exam preparation.

Teaching Experience:

I grew up in Bedford, UK and attended Dame Alice Harpur School (now Bedford Girls' School) before moving to Cambridge to study Natural Sciences at Queens' College. In 2008, I started tutoring during the evenings and weekends. Upon the completion of my M.Sci, I relocated to Oxford to create science and maths teaching resources at a local publishing firm - all the while continuing to tutor in my spare time.

Whilst living in Oxford, I found I enjoyed being a tutor so much, that I chose to leave my day job and pursue tuition as a full-time career in December 2012. Two years later, I transferred to London to set up home with my now husband and continued to work as a tutor. However, I found that I had free time during the school day and I wanted to improve my teaching skills, and gain formal recognition for those I had already acquired. I embarked on a two-year part-time teacher training course - secondary school science with a specialism in physics.

I was offered a role at my training school, and took up a position at a local Academy as a teacher of both science and maths. During this period, I undertook extensive training regarding the change to the new (9 - 1) GCSEs and became familiar with the International Baccalaureate - both the diploma and the career-related programme.

In 2016, my husband and I returned to Bedford to start our family and I accepted a position at a local boys' school, teaching science from year 6 to A-level. Following the birth of our daughter 5 years ago, I decided to once again return to full-time tuition in order to spend more time with my growing family.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor each lesson to suit the student's needs. The first few lessons usually focus on getting to know the student and their strengths and weaknesses. I identify areas for improvement and use subsequent lessons to work on these, as well as ensuring that the student is comfortable with the whole of the syllabus. Closer to the exam season, we will focus on improving question technique and creating links across the curriculum.

Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified teacher of Biology and Environmental Science to A Level, and Maths and the three Sciences to GCSE. I taught for many years in both the private and state sectors.
A semi-retired Environmental Scientist, Zoologist and Freshwater Biologist, I am also fluent in Spanish and German, having spent many years living in Latin American countries, working for German and British multinational companies.

Teaching Experience:

I taught GCSE Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and Maths and A-Level & IB Biology and Environmental Science in both the state and private sectors for many years. I have tutored students in these subjects and levels during the past 10 years, with excellent results almost always surpassing the student's predicted grades..
I have also supported Spanish-language classes and individual students at GCSE level, and have worked on conversational Spanish with adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe the key to successful tutoring is to provide the help, support and encouragement the student needs. Unlike a classroom setting, the agenda is and must be driven primarily by the student. Thus my first task is always to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses, and what they want to get out of the tutor sessions. From this we jointly develop a strategy and plan of action. I then tailor my approach to fulfil the student's requirements.

I tutor 1 to 1 from my house in Goodmayes, Ilford (IG3 9) or online to UK/International students (through Zoom/Skype) so please stop reading if you are not willing to do any of these.

What I offer (during and outside school hours):

A-Level: Biology
GCSE: Maths, English, Science
KS3: Maths, English, Science
13+: Maths, English, Science
11+: Maths, English, Science, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning
KS2: Maths, English, Science
KS1: Maths, English, Science
7+: Maths, English, Science, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning
4+: Maths, English, Science, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning

I am a First-class graduate from Imperial College London and a PGCE (teaching qualification) graduate from UCL IoE, and it is my ambition that my students surpass me.

I aspire to offer a 'super tutor' service (£100-£1500 per hour) and help compensate for an education inferior to the best schools in England (e.g. £65000 per year) at a relatively low price. Also, the coronavirus situation has caused a big dent in the education of many children and I try to ensure through my tuition that my students are successful in spite of it.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher (DBS checked) and have over 4000 hours of tutoring experience, with students ranging from 4-18 years old.

On top of that, I also helped my brother gain entry into Cambridge University for Economics and have seen countless other students succeed under my mentorship (e.g. getting entry into schools, achieving KS1/KS2/GCSE/A Level grades, getting entry into universities/studying courses). This is because I recognise that there is a process and that if students follow that process, they are guaranteed to succeed.

Tutoring Approach:

I try my best to make learning enjoyable for students but I also have high expectations as I believe every student has it in them to achieve the top grades.

Almost all the students that have come to me have improved and rapidly because of:

- First-class teaching
- Free homework after each lesson
- Mentoring/coaching/advice
- Increased confidence
- Better mental health for exams

Testimonials:

'He helped my daughter get into Forest School. The homework and regular advice really made all the difference. We cannot thank him enough.' - Mr. Atwal

'Starting with him was the best decision I made for my son's education. He did so much better in his GCSEs than we expected. He was on track for Ds and Es and managed to get nearly all A*-B! Imagine what Umar could've achieved if we'd found him earlier!' - Mrs. Ahmed

'Vinay helped me so much with A Level Biology. I got an A (very nearly an A*) and am now studying Dentistry at university.' - Raman

I look forward to working with your children and ensuring they can achieve the vision that you have for them!

INTERESTS & EXTRACURRICULARS:
• I am passionate about Padel, a racket sport like tennis, most popular in Spanish-speaking countries. According to ITV, it is currently the fastest growing sport in the world. I regularly train with my coach and compete for national rankings in the British circuit.

• I am also a fitness enthusiast whether it is spending time in the gym or swimming. My interest in sports has continued since schooling years, having captained my school teams in Athletics, Swimming and Football competitions.

• Public speaking has been a strong interest which I fulfilled, during my education years, via taking part in Model United Nations conferences. This developed my communication skills which allows me to deliver clear explanations to my students. I represented my school and university in conferences at:

- Oxford University;
- Harvard University;
- Imperial College London;
- Cambridge University;
- Global Young Leaders Conference;
- London School of Economics.

Teaching Experience:

Some of my past clients with their written testimonials are listed below:

• Mr. C - Economics Adult Learner from UK Investment Bank:
'I thought, in all honesty, you were patient, likeable, kind, and encouraging. I thought you covered the material well and concisely and, really, I don't see how what you were offering could have been done any better. It was brilliant.'

• Ms. R - MSc Economic Policy Student from University College London:
'Unlike other tutors, when you explain something it sticks in my head.'

• Ms. R - Business Studies Student from Birkbeck College:
'Haris is very keen and dedicated in his job. He explains the concepts very clearly and succinctly. He was very patient with me as English was not my first language. Haris encouraged me and helped me utilise my abilities to their fullest. He is very efficient when it comes to reaching his aims and always seeks his hardest to achieve the targets. I strongly recommend Haris to all my friends and family members.'

• Mr. A - University Statistics Student from University College London:
'The results came in. I got a first! Thank you very much.'

• Mr. R - A Level Economics Student from Edexcel Board:
'It was a pleasure to be tutored by you. It was extremely helpful. My exam went very well. I felt quite confident with it. I only wish I had called you earlier than I did and maybe started the tuition straight after my January exams. However, the help you gave me in the little time we had was brilliant.'

• Ms. G - University Accounting Student from Regent's University:
'You are my trophy tutor!'

• Mr. B - Executive MBA Student from Imperial College London:
'I would like to thank Haris for his professionalism in giving me tuition. He has been able to, in a short period of time, give me good foundations which enabled me answer the exam questions confidently. He has been very focused in guiding me through Macroeconomics and I have found his tuitions very effective. This has resulted in my top mark in the exam.'

• Mr. E - A Level Business Studies Student from AQA Board:
'We are very impressed with Haris. My son gets on very well with Haris.'

• Ms. W - A Level Economics Student from Cambridge Pre-U Board:
'Haris has been exactly what we needed for our son's revision sessions. He is an excellent teacher and has been helping our son enormously. I would highly recommend him to any student who is not 'up to scratch' with the topic. Haris achieved the 'near impossible' with our son. He made the topic so interesting that our son wants to further progress and take the subject to the next level.'

Tutoring Approach:

I believe personalised and result-driven approaches are essential ingredients for effective tutoring. I believe a good tutor is adaptable to both exam-oriented tutoring and tutoring for the sake of gaining knowledge. My tutoring strengths include:

• Passionate;
• Emphasis on Past-Papers;
• Patience & Clear Explanations;
• Subject Matter Expertise.

Personal Description:
I teach online.
Being the oldest sibling of my family and the first to attend university, I started teaching from a young age. I love working with students of all ages and abilities, and am intrigued by how I can use various learning styles: visual learning, auditory learning, read/write learning, and kinaesthetic learning to best impart knowledge. Every child learns differently, and I always strive to find the right method and approach to fit their needs. I care about my students and they are a very important part of my life. I am fascinated by how the human mind works and would love to specialise in SEN education in the future.

Teaching Experience:

I started private tutoring at the age of 14 and 16 years later my passion for tutoring has endured and I now have a number of students who I teach on a regular basis. I also teach Japanese Abacus and I have students as young as 4 up to 18 years old. The parents of the children I teach have always spoken highly of the impact I have on their children.
At the age of 17, I spent time in a school in Uganda delivering full lessons with limited training or guidance - and I loved every second! At school, I always valued the impact my teachers had on me and the lessons I have picked up from them still resonate strongly with me today.

Tutoring Approach:

Every child learns differently, and I always strive to find the right method and approach to fit their needs. I care about my students and they are a very important part of my life. I am fascinated by how the human mind works and would love to specialise in SEN education in the future.

Personal Description:
Hi! I'm Lucy, and I'm currently studying for my biochemistry degree at the University of Sussex. I have a passion for science, and want to share this with others, and hopefully help them with their own studies.
Outside of this, I am very creative. I enjoy playing piano, singing, folding origami and watercolour painting.
Outside of term time I live in the Oxfordshire countryside, and love taking walks around the places that I live.
I also enjoy cooking and creating new recipes.
I hope that you choose to contact me and that we can have a great time working together!

Teaching Experience:

I tutored for 2 years during my A level studies, in which I took biology, chemistry and maths. I have experience tutoring these 3 subjects, especially maths, and am able to tutor all of these to GCSE level, as well as other subjects to lower levels. My tutees have faced great success, one moving from 3rd set to top set for maths within a term of tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to work with you and your child, getting your feedback and perspective on what is going well, and what I can improve to help your child improve. I believe that transparency is key, and we should be able to keep clear and constructive communication, so that I can best support your child.
I hope that together, we can get the results your child deserves, and let them reach their full potential.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm David, I have been tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry with great success for the past 8 years.

I have experience working with all types of students, from those going for the very highest grades to those who are struggling and need something to boost their confidence.

I would be happy to arrange a discussion before any tutoring takes place to ensure that we are a good fit.

Teaching Experience:

I was Head of A-level Chemistry at a large Yorkshire Academy for 3 years, and a Teacher of A-level Chemistry for 4 years before that.

Tutoring Approach:

Due to currently living abroad, I tutor online, using a dedicated shared workboard and communication software like Skype.

I enjoy working with all kinds of students, and am very good at relaxing and boosting the confidence of my tutees. However I take a rigorous approach to my tutoring and expect a good work ethic from tutees.

I have never had a tutee achieve below their target for university admission.

Personal Description:
Born in Scotland grew up in New Zealand where I went to Otago University, the oldest in NZ and gained a 1st Class BSc (hons) and a PhD in Physiology.

I then had a research career here in the UK mainly working on muscle development. I can be found in Nature doing that.

I now have time to tutor and a deep knowledge and understanding to impart to students.

Teaching Experience:

I did a lot of Tutoring and Demonstrating during my Honours and PhD and afterwards both in the lab and with undergraduates at my institutions.

I held a Teaching Fellowship at the end of my PhD and gained much insight into how to be a better teacher.

I am good at exam technique and combined mine with my wife's when we taught our daughters.

I can cover Biology in all its school forms; Junior General Science; Physiology; Anatomy and Developmental Biology

Tutoring Approach:

I adjust my teaching to the student, in accordance with how they think and remember and the other subjects they are doing. I will always check that I am not leaving the student behind and they fully understand before moving on. I am good at finding suitable analogies.

I have experience at tutoring people from a number of different countries and cultures. Please do not think I just teach white Europeans.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Frances a friendly retired Science teacher. I am an active 60 year old lady young at heart who enjoy spending time with family and friends. I always have had a passion for teaching and love to see children achieve their potential. I graduated from London University in 1984 with a joint honours in Maths and Physics. The following year I completed my PGCE in Canterbury and then began my 32 year teaching career. During this time I had my own family and now have two grown up children both in their twenties. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, cooking, gardening and decorating my new house.

Teaching Experience:

I have thirty two years teaching experience having taught in four different secondary schools in Kent during my career. I have taught science for over thirty of these and I am predominately a Physics specialist having taught up to A level. I have taught combined science courses along with core and additional science courses. This involves teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics all up to GCSE level. I have held various managerial positions including being a Head of Department and been responsible for examination entries and moderation of coursework.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that all children can succeed, they need the tools and confidence to be able to do that. I encourage and build confidence in all students. I identify and build on weaknesses whilst the encouraging the growth and development of strengths,
