Honest school teachers will tell you that it is the noisy and disruptive pupils that get their attention, whereas the quite shy hardworking pupils tend to get neglected. Busy school teachers just do not have the time or energy to devote to helping their quieter or weaker pupils and it is these pupils that especially benefit from extra personal tuition. On the other hand a brighter pupil may be so far ahead of his or her peers that the teacher is just not able to give them the attention they need. A good tutor will help guide tutees who want to learn to get ahead and avoid becoming disinterested or bored. Why leave it to chance?

It is never too early to start boosting a child's education. For primary school children it is important that they get a good start to their education and do not lag behind. When studying for my GCSE's, I struggled quite a lot with Chemistry and so I decided to get a tutor. After a few months of receiving tuition, there was a noticeable improvement in my grades and I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry GCSE and later on studied it for A-level and achieved a grade A. I am a medical student studying in the United Kingdom. I achieved the top grades in my Biology, Chemistry and Law A-levels, and I have a proficient understanding of the A-level curriculum and teaching. I am now tutoring A-level students alongside studying my medical degree, and I am available for 1:1 teaching sessions for A-level students (year 1 or year 2).

Teaching Experience:
I have taught other students biology, chemistry and law throughout my own studying of those subjects at A-level. Since starting at medical school, I have began tutoring students online for their A-levels. The students of mine who I assisted during A-levels have gone on to achieve top grades, and those that did not achieve the highest grades boosted theirs by at least 2 (e.g. E grade to C grade, or C grade to A grade). In addition to this, I was a member of the Medical Leadership Programme, where I was taught key teaching and professional skills that support me in my role as a tutor.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is student-led, meaning that you tell me what you would like help with and I will then do that. We can set goals together for what you would like to achieve (e.g. do you want to boost your grades, or improve your question answering techniques? etc). I can help you learn course content or gain further understanding of the topics if you are aiming for higher grades. I can assist you to master exam technique and understanding different question types & marking criteria. I would describe my teaching as very fluid; I can help you with whatever aspect of your A-level study that you would like me to.

Dental Surgery student. Achieved As in A-Level Chemistry & Biology, and A* in A-Level English Literature.

Teaching Experience:
I teach GCSE & A-Level online science and English lessons that are centred around mastering exam technique and each student's areas for improvement.

I have 3+ years of online tutoring experience, both GCSE and A-Level Science and English.

As I have completed A-Levels in both chemistry and biology, and achieved an A grade, I have abundant revision resources and an in-depth understanding of revision tips and tricks (that I've picked up over the years!) that will enable your child to succeed in their science learning journey.

Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are customised to each student's needs and will cover the topics they struggle with clearly and in detail. Exam technique is key for excelling in science, and this is what we'll focus on in my lessons. I will enable students to apply the content they learn in the classroom to an exam setting, as well as cover any areas missed by their teachers.

I also teach GCSE and A-Level English Literature / Language online. My lessons will enable students to write with confidence and fluency, as well as be able to analyse texts in detail. My lessons are tailored around each student's strengths and areas for improvement. Having studied English Literature at A-Level, and achieved an A*, I have a unique insight into how good grades are achieved in English.
