I hold a MSc in Molecular Life Sciences from Université de Lausanne Switzerland and a BSc in Biology from Imperial College, specializing in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Neuroscience. I tend to use a variety of methods when teaching, depending on the child and their needs, focusing on their age and what their syllabus requires. I am capable to do quick summarised revision sessions, as well as long term lesson plans. Either way I ensure that the student is always given homework and stays revising. If appropriate I also do small mastery tests at the start of each lesson which consists of a five minute recap test, so the student is required to have revised the previous lesson well. Obviously if they struggle with the homework or mastery test, then the lesson plan's pace is adjusted to meet the child's level. This helps to ensure that the student masters each topic before moving on to the next.

I received an outstanding set of GCSE grades and my set of results was even published in the school newspaper. I like helping younger students in any way possible, in year 10, I helped those who have come from foreign countries or have a lower reading level and have difficulty reading to become fluent readers through a 'reading buddies' programme. I enjoy getting to know my students beyond their academic needs; building a connection and seeing that they are supported in any way that I can.

I also believe in understanding rather than memorizing, so I teach my students skills that will help them approach problems logically instead of just memorizing the textbook.

I am flexible and can tailor lesson times specific to the student.
