I then take these away and mark them in my own time and return with a deeper view of where they are going wrong after they have been taught. During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. I prefer classes to be carried out in small groups, or ideally, one to one.
