"Matt only got an E grade in his February A2 mock exam and the school predicted he would get a C grade at A2. With the significant assistance from Ian, Matt achieved an A* at A2. I aim to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. An initial meeting establishes the student's needs and the direction tuition should take. We then begin work on a programme of study which focuses on filling gaps in knowledge and addressing any areas of weakness in some cases we conduct a diagnostic test .
I set regular mile stones/homework and assignments - the quantity varying with how much time the student has - and give feedback the following session.

Tuition generally runs as an independent course running parallel to and complementing what the student is doing at college or university. The programme of study is flexible enough so that we can focus on any upcoming assessments. As the exam or submission date approaches, the focus shifts towards report writing and exam techniques and looking at past papers.

I offer short-term and log term tuition when there is availability, students generally come for a good part of an academic year, often longer.
