"Matt only got an E grade in his February A2 mock exam and the school predicted he would get a C grade at A2. With the significant assistance from Ian, Matt achieved an A* at A2. I have over four years of tutoring experience across Maths, Sciences, and Business, supporting students at 11+, KS3, and GCSE level. I have delivered both in-person and remote tuition, with a strong focus on Maths.

Most recently, I provided remote GCSE Maths tutoring to students at the British School Chennai, where I delivered structured one-to-one lessons, created tailored revision materials, and supported students with exam preparation and confidence-building. Teaching in an international and online setting strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and maintain engagement remotely.

In addition, I have direct experience with the 11+ pathway, having passed the 11+ myself and studied at a grammar school. This gives me strong familiarity with 11+ Maths content, exam technique, and the level of discipline required to succeed. I adapt the pace and teaching style as needed and place strong emphasis on exam technique and problem-solving skills.

Above all, I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and developing independence in their learning.
