I have been the Head of Accounting since 2006, at a large Catholic Sixth Form College in Hulme, Manchester. I am 46 years old, living in Didsbury, South Manchester. My career as a Teacher of Business Studies merges my three passions in life; Education, Business and People! Whether you are studying for a Phd, GCSE, A Level, learning to read or write, or you just simply want to learn how to study, I would like to help you to reach your academic goal.

My most recent qualification is an Education Doctorate. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies, a Higher National Diploma in Business & Finance as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Business Education, which allows me to teach Business in Secondary as well as a Further Education teaching qualification.
I hold a current DBS.

I have achieved a Distinction/First Class grade at level 7/Postgraduate Certificate which I completed part-time. This grade was achieved as I employed effective study strategies; which I can deliver to those requiring study support.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 15 years experience teaching Business in schools and colleges in the Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and Walsall area. I teach GCSE, A Level, BTEC levels 2 and 3 in Business. Also, Economics at GCSE. Ive also taught Travel & Tourism, Public Services, Enterprise and Retail Business, Maths and English

With over 35 years experience of creating and managing a number of small businesses I not only have the knowledge of my subject but also the 'real world experience'. I am extremely patient and tolerant believing that everyone has potential and that it is my role to help them achieve it. I provide continuous feedback to students and mark work very quickly.

My Business studies knowledge is in depth and very comprehensive.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching Business, Employability Skills and IT for the past 25 years. I am a national examiner for OCR GCSE, A-Level and Cambridge Technicals Business Studies.

I also teach SFEDI Level 1 - 3 in Adult Education to a wide range of learners. This is portfolio based work which is continuously assessed by me.

Tutoring Approach:
My style is one of facilitation to encourage students to self actualise in the learning process. I adapt my teaching approach to meet the specific needs of each individual and welcome regular feedback from students about what is working best for them.

Personal Description:
I am PhD student at Harper Adams University, working on my final stages on my thesis. While I always enjoyed sharing my knowledge, I found lot of satisfaction from my students and there successes. It is really refreshing to work with young students, and that's why I am engaged in private tuition.

Also, I am Greek, but I am living and working 5 years in UK. I try to learn German, and I love DYI projects and crafts.

Tutoring Approach:
My goal is to cover the necessary content with the most effective, efficient and quickest possible way. I never forget to add some fun :) .
I have already created lesson plants, which help me with the distribution of the content throughout the year/term.
I regularly assess student's progress with questions during the lesson, but also incorporating in the tests Mock tests. Mock tests help the student to familiarise with the process and reduce stress levels for all (student, parents and tutor). Mock tests include past papers (example GCSE/ A levels).
When relevant, we might use demonstrative lectures for science subjects.
