I am a recently retired teacher with over 30 years combined experience in further education, independent and maintained secondary schools. I am now based in a beautiful part of Norfolk, where I paint, give private tuition and run an art club.
My own work is based on observations of mans' intervention in the landscape. I work in oils, water colour, digital photography and print.

Having started my career as a graphic designer I had, by necessity, to broaden my experience and skills into other two and three-dimensional media in order to become a successful teacher. Teaching is about finding the unique personality of the individual and finding ways to encourage its expression. I am Marcin Bernard, an artist and art educator who mainly specialises in painting and sculpting on wood and stone. I have been painting and sculpting since twelve years of age. When I conducted a stone carving workshop at NIE( National Institute of Education) in Singapore, where I taught students how to transfer 2D ideas to 3D but carving directly onto limestone, it can be an upheaval task for students but to scaffold them to visualise their plan, see through the process from beginning to the end, problem-solving, tweaking, translating the 2D idea into 3D effectively, seeing them succeed and execute, gave me the feeling of satisfaction and joy. I realise then this is what I want to do, to teach. It was very different from an artist satisfaction.

My name is Josephine and I'm 32 years old. I'm Danish but have lived in London since 2014 when I did my BA in Fine Art.
I have a Master's Degree in Animation Film from The Royal College of Art.
The past 8 months I've lived in Hebden Bridge between Manchester and Leeds to open our first Studio in FedUP Studio Lab, the production company where I work part time. My role is producer and assistant creative director. I'm a freelancer director in the company as well.
I'm currently living in London where I also arrange workshops in art and animation with galleries, UAL and FedUP Studio Lab. I'm enthusiastic, and I have a great love for knowledge and teaching as much as making films and art.

I enjoy tutoring because the process between student and tutor is wonderful. I learn just as much as my students and when you have worked hard for a while and start to see a shift in their behaviour when studying - understanding or producing - and they end up challenging you or teaching you instead, that is absolutely fantastic. I have recently moved to Sheringham after teaching art in London for several years. I am now focusing on my career as an illustrator and, parallel to that, I am interested in offering private tuition to CGSE and A-Level students completing their Art & Design or Photography course.

I am a professional fine artist with many years experience of teaching in Colleges and Universities both in the UK and the USA. I am also a Dissertation Supervisor for Final Year students at Camberwell on their BA Programme. My specialism is Art History, however I have extensive knowledge of a wide variety of subjects and my tutees have all immensely improved their grades (often by multiple grade bands) and have been very happy with their results.

I also teach writing for a wide variety of audiences. I have experience writing reviews of exhibitions for Mousse magazine and an in conversation series with key artistic figures, including Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey, Markus Lüpertz, Leidy Churchman and Chris Martin. In 2019 my writing won the a-n arts prize and I took part in a series of workshops facilitated by prominent writers and editors, such as the Editor of Frieze magazine.

My name is Eve, i am 23 and have recently moved back to London having finished my undergraduate studies at The Glasgow School of Art. I have four years experience at Art School where i have specialised in a number of different creative and theoretical areas.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience leading art workshops and tutoring children aged 9-13 at a the Terra Nova Summer Art School in Cheshire. I lead lessons in drawing, painting and printmaking. I have also guided and helped friends and contacts with their applications to UK Art Schools and universities. I am particularly keen to continue this and help with portfolio preparation to Art Foundations and Undergraduate courses.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is careful and creative, i hope to inspire whilst also directing pupils in the direction that is best for them. I have an in depth knowledge and first hand experience on gaining admission to UK Art Schools and i am keen to share my experience and knowledge to other young artists who are hoping to pursue a career in the arts. I can help with portfolio preparation for Arts foundations and Undergraduate courses.
