I'm an easy going, empathetic, supportive and patient tutor who is dedicated to my students. I'm very thorough in my teaching and ensure no stone is left unturned in preparing my students for their maths exams/tests. I enjoy helping my students reach their full potential and achieve their goals. I encourage all my students to take a general interest in Mathematics as it helps them to do well. I do 1 to 1 tuition and also tutor small groups of no more than 4 students. I teach all levels up to and including A-Level and for all exam boards (AQA, EDEXCEL and OCR). I have thus far been very successful as a Maths tutor and hope to continue this trend especially in light of the tremendous performance of my students in the 2024 academic year. Every GCSE (Higher) and A-Level Student I have ever tutored has achieved the grades, Levels 5 to 9/A* to C.

Teaching Experience:
I'm currently working as a professionally qualified Mathematics Teacher at one of Luton's best performing secondary schools. I have been a Maths teacher for 8 years. I have also been a private tutor since 2010, teaching at all levels up to and including A-Level. I teach all abilities and age ranges.

Tutoring Approach:
The aim of my tuition lessons is 2 fold. Firstly, it is to give my students a thorough understanding of the topics they are studying so that they are able to gain an excellent foundation. Secondly, I give my students intensive exam preparation so that they do well in their assessments. This is usually done by by doing many past papers under exam conditions. I also set my students really challenging questions that would normally not appear in their actual tests. The purpose of which is to enable my students to be able to answer ANY questions that may appear in their exams.

I have a lot of experience in teaching modern languages to all ages of children and adults. I am a QTS qualified, native-Greek speaking teacher with BA in Primary Education and MA in Drama and Theatre Education. I have strong theoretical knowledge and confidence in my practice. During my Master's studies I examined the use of drama as a pedagogic approach in language acquisition for second language learners.
I always devote time researching extensively into specialist bibliography and seek every opportunity to undertake further training in order to achieve my teaching duties.

Teaching Experience:
I have fifteen years teaching experience in Primary schools in Greece, in private tuitions, as well as in Primary, Secondary and Greek Community Schools in the UK. I have been teaching Greek as a Second Language and as a Foreign Language at all levels, from primary students to adult learners with various literacy backgrounds. I am confronted with the challenge to help bilingual and English speaking students build confidence in expressing themselves in Greek and motivate them to become active learners.

I am a fully qualified registered primary school teacher. I have been teaching for 18 years as a key stage 2 teacher. I am also foundation trained.

I have taught all subjects across the curriculum. I specialise in Maths and English. I am experienced in teaching children with a range of different learning abilities and confidence issues and have taught children who have additional learning needs.

I am able to encourage children to become more confident with their school work by explaining how to complete tasks using different strategies. I look at the different areas that needs more focus and build on this. I like to make the sessions relaxed so that the child feels at ease, this way they are more willing to study at a pace that suits them.

I am a self-employed music teacher who has been working in numerous schools across north-east England for over 10 years. Currently, I work alongside two music companies delivering music workshops in primary and secondary schools, and as of the 2023-2024 school calendar I deliver lessons to 10 schools on a weekly basis.

My main passion is delivering instrumental tuition on a number of instruments which include; electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard, piano, ukulele, and music theory. I am an experienced tutor and understand how to make maths fun! I have been teaching for over three years across several primary schools in Ashbourne teaching years 3 to 6. I struggled with maths in primary school so I had several years of maths tutoring in order to ensure that I passed GCSE maths. My tutor showed me that maths was not impossible and I decided to take it again at A level along with Further Maths AS. After a further two years of lessons (deforesting half of the planet printing off hundreds of past papers) I obtained an A* in A level maths. I used to find maths difficult. As a result I am able to explain difficult concepts. I completed my BSc in mathematics at the Open University in 2018 and am currently completing my MSc in Business and Finance at Derby University.
