Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified Secondary Chemistry and Science Teacher. I was Head of Science and KS5 Chemistry coordinator in my previous school and now I run my own education support centre in Birmingham City Centre. Prior to my teaching career. I was a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham conducting research in the field of nanotechnology.
I have acquired the following qualification: PGCS (Chemistry), QTS, MRSC (Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry, a Master of Research degree (Msc) in material science and Bachelor of Science degree (Bsc) in Chemistry.
I believe the best way to be successful academically is by hard work, patience and the appropriate guidance. When students do not achieved the top grade for a subject, it is not because they don't work hard enough or they are not bright. It is purely because they do not have the right exam technique and guidance. Hence I believe with my support, students can achieve their desired grade because I understand where the difficulties lie.
Testimonials from students
"Dr. has helped and guided me a lot in the last two years and has been a massive contribution towards helping me achieve my grades at GCSEs and A-level. He always knew how to target areas which I struggled in and which approach I should take to tackle a problem. Dr. has always motivated me and pushed me to be a better student.I am very thankful for all the support you have given me and I wish you all the best in the future!"
"Dr is an excellent tutor who has really supported me and helped me to get set on the right path. I am extremely lucky to have had him as my tutor and I will forever be grateful"
Testimonials from parents
"Thank you Paul for guiding my daughter through her A Level chemistry course and giving her all the help she needed with difficult concepts and scientific analysis over the past four years - it has really flown by! She's now set to study at Kings College with good A Level results! Thanks so much."
Teaching Experience:
I have over 15 years of tutoring and school teaching experience in A-level Chemistry, in both AQA and OCR board. I have taught over 100's of A level and GCSE students over the years. Majority of my students (Both GCSE and A level) end up with level 7-9 in GCSE and A's in A level Chemistry. Most recent results: out of the 7 A level Chemistry student I have, 6 students achieved an A and 1 got a B (3 marks of an A)
Tutoring Approach:
The way I see tutoring is not about teaching students all the knowledge that school has already done, it is about helping students through their difficulties in the subjects. I believe a successful tutor needs to have patience and to understand their student's needs and teach accordingly. The saying I believe the most is "Tell me, I will forget, Show me, I might remember, Involve me, I will understand". With a good understanding and appropriate guidance, any student should be able to achieve any grade they desire.

Personal Description:
I am a Cambridge graduate currently teaching at a secondary school in Birmingham. I offer private tuition in English and Latin as well as Oxbridge application advice.
I specialise in coaching students through GCSE/A Level. However, I am happy to help all students from 11+ and even adult learners. I am proud of my strong track-record in helping students to achieve excellent results in their exams.
A little about my academic background: I graduated with a degree in English from the University of Cambridge (Girton College) in 2008 and in 2010 completed a Masters in Medieval Literature and History at the University of York. In 2019 I completed my PGCE at the University of Warwick and have since taught in a local secondary school.
Teaching Experience:
I am experienced teacher currently employed at a Birmingham secondary school, where I teach across Key Stages 3,4 and 5.
I have several years of experience in private tuition and and have tutored students preparing for GCSEs and A Levels in Latin, English (both language and literature), and Politics & Government. I've had great success in helping students of a range of abilities improve subject confidence and achieve exceptional results (including many A*s and Grade 9s).
Tutoring Approach:
Latin:
Puzzled by perfect participles?
Confused by conjugations?
...and what on earth is a gerundive?
Let's face it, studying Latin can be difficult, but it is the challenge which makes it such a rewarding subject.
My approach to teaching Latin is to develop translation skills whilst reinforcing the key building blocks of grammar. I endeavour to work at the student's own pace and tailor my sessions to complement school work.
English:
As a qualified teacher of English, I understand how to get the best out of students. I have an intimate knowledge of most GCSE and A Level set texts and can advise students on revision strategies and exam technique.
I am comfortable working at different paces and levels to support the individual needs of a student.
It is difficult to offer a single "approach to tutoring" as I believe the right teaching method depends entirely on the interests, level, and personality of the individual student.
Interviews:
I am also available to tutor students preparing for university entrance interviews (in particular Oxbridge). Having experienced the process first-hand, I feel I am well positioned to offer meaningful advice on how a candidate can impress during the application and interview process. I am willing to conduct mock interviews.

Tutoring Approach:
According to a recently research, around 74 million people use Spanish language to communicate across the 5 continents, which situates this language in a fourth place, below the English, Hindi and Mandarin Chinese language.
At a simple glance seems to be so hard to learn it. but don't panic... I've been teaching Spanish for non-spanish speakers and I can guarantee to you that you will be speaking and writing with some rules of grammar, And hopefully you will be expressing your feelings, your thoughts and comunicate with others in the twinkling of an eye.
The best way to learn a language is the-one-to-one method, this is because we need to understand certain tricks that we don't normally get in a globalized classroom.
I will try to do my best in order to show you how to underestand the Spanish language and our Spanish-speaking culture.
SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR LEARNING THIS AMAZING AND USEFUL LANGUAGE!!!!! 💻📖📚🎓

I completed a degree in electrical engineering at a leading UK University, and I also studied Medicine at the University of Buckingham. My diverse educational journey has provided me with a unique, multidisciplinary perspective on learning.
I love studying, and this love for studying has made me want to give back in the form of teaching. How I Support My Students:
Conceptual Clarity: I help students understand the subject area that I will be teaching by breaking down intricate topics-whether in advanced sciences or primary literacy-into manageable, logical steps.
Skill Development: Beyond just subject knowledge, I assist with learning skills, such as structured planning, analytical thinking, and effective communication.

Latterly I have taught KS2 Maths up to GCSE, GCSE Physics up to A2 Physics. At A-level I am very familiar with the AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications . I have also taught Advancing Physics. I prefer to teach in my own home where I have all of my resources. Latterly I have been teaching online using Zoom.

There is more! I have taught for 40 years and still love teaching Physics!!!
Tutoring Approach:
Many students are not fully familiar with the subject matter and this is the most important thing! They need to understand the facts in order to remember them and apply them. Personal Description:
Hello Parents and Students,
I have a First Class Degree in Chemistry and am a qualified Chemistry Teacher, with 18 years of teaching experience, including as Head of Chemistry in a Boys' Grammar School.
I love tutoring privately and am really proud to say that all of my students from last year achieved an A* or A and most went on to study Medicine or Dentistry.
I charge an extremely reasonable rate compared to other Tutors with similar experiences.
Teaching Experience:
I tutor students, both face-face and online, from schools in the surrounding areas, including Tiffin Boys and Tiffin Girls Grammar School,
NHEHS for Girls,
Haberdashers',
Gumley School and
The Heathland School.
With online tutoring now just as common, I also tutor Students from all over the country.
As a current teacher, I have extensive knowledge of the EDEXCEL, AQA and OCR Specifications, as well as the CIE Board, at both A-Level and GCSE level, including IGCSE. In my role as a Chemistry Teacher, I also cover the Core Practical skills with all A-Level students.
I am also an Examiner for the Edexcel Examining Board.
I am therefore fully equipped to give the best to all my students, regardless of which exam board their school teaches to.
Tutoring Approach:
I take on a friendly approach to learning and always make the student feel that they can succeed, regardless of where they start at.
I like to spend a little time with my students trying to find out where their strengths lie and then work with them on their weaknesses first. I provide a clear set of notes, which I prefer to give as the lesson proceeds. This allows the student to be fully engaged in the work and gives them the chance to stop me at any point and ask questions, change direction or spend more time on a particular section than originally intended. I like to provide the student with exam questions to work on in their own time, because I feel the tutoring time is better spent consolidating key concepts. This way, I find students are much better prepared to tackle a range of exam questions and more confident in approaching unfamiliar situations within the exam context.

Personal Description:
18 year old A level student and high achiever at GCSE looking to help younger students.
I am currently studying Biology, Psychology and English Literature at Churston Ferrers Grammar School in the UK and have a strong passion for my studies.
I'm very much into my sport and exercise, I play wheelchair basketball for Plymouth Fusion and enjoy going to the gym a few times a week for how it makes me feel. I'm an overall advocate for all people (but particularly young people) taking care of their own physical and mental health through the right activities and approach to life.
Also, I enjoy playing music, mainly singing, as well as acting. I have performed in various shows and concerts in my school throughout the years which is something I really enjoy and a great way to boost my own confidence.
Finally, at the beginning of 2022, I began a YouTube channel with the aim of helping people start good habits (like that of studying) and build positive mindsets to approaching life in an enriching way.
Teaching Experience:
At my young age, I have no prestigious teaching qualifications. However I have two incredibly helpful experiences/characteristics to be an effective tutor:
1. Very high GCSE exam results that were achieved recently (2021)
2. I am a young person passionate about studying and can be a relatable tutor for my students as I am a member of their generation and have completed my GCSEs very recently.
My GCSE results were:
Maths - 9
English Literature - 9
English Language - 9
Biology - 9
Chemistry - 9
Physics - 9
Music - 9
Drama - 9
Religious Studies - 9
Spanish - 8
9 being equivalent to a previous A** and 8 an equivalent to a previous A*
I have also volunteered within school working as a teaching assistant in classes with younger years and have found it very easy to get along with students of all varieties.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is to apply the same principles I used to achieve my own GCSE results, as they have been proven to work very recently to achieve high marks.
I will aim to create a fun working environment for my students where they look forward to working with me.
I will aim to be encouraging and empower my students to find their own love for learning.
I will aim to show all my students that they have potential to succeed and that they do not have to be demoralised by perfectionism and comparing themselves to others.
My lessons will be engaging and interesting for my students, due to my age and first hand experience of the current education system. I will hope to not only be my student's tutor, but also a friend in which they can ask any questions about their education.
My first session is free and from then the price will remain at £20.00 an hour for all of my subjects (maths, english, biology and drama) for the time being.
The best time to work with me are weekends and weekday evenings at around 7-9 pm.
I look forward to hearing from you and to begin learning some interesting stuff! :)

Teaching Experience:
I am a female maths tutor with 5 years experience teaching the subject to all abilities for GCSE and KS3. I am also familiar with Edexcel, OCR and AQA exam boards. If you have an alternative exam board, I would be happy to look into this as well. My preference is to hold in person lessons.
My own qualifications include studying maths within my Economics degree as well as at A-Level. I also have a DBS check which is available on request, as well as references.
Tutoring Approach:
I help students prepare for exams, work on class work with them where they need guidance with and help them improve in a particular subject that they're struggling in. I am also familiar with Edexcel, OCR and AQA exam boards. If you have an alternative exam board, I would be happy to look into this as well.
