I have 30 years experience of teaching Chemistry and Biology at all levels up to A Level, and I am still teaching. This includes 7 years as Head of Department, and I am currently teaching A-Level Chemistry and Biology, plus Access courses, at a central London college.

I have 17 years experience as an examiner for OCR, Edexcel and AQA in both Chemistry and Biology at A Level and GCSE Science. I am familiar with all major exam boards in Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science. I have also been a personal tutor for the past 28 years.

Since the lockdown I have taught hundreds of hours online and have found it to be nearly as effective as face to face teaching. I am proficient in the use of different software platforms including two way online whiteboards, PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat PDF and document cameras. This allows lessons to be clear, interactive and well resourced whether we are working through revision notes, past papers or complex diagrams.

I teach A-Level, AS, GCSE, BTEC and Access courses in Chemistry and Biology, as well as GCSE and Environmental Science. I also support students applying for Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing with UCAS, personal statements and preparation for BMAT and UKCAT.

I am a passionate musician, I started playing the drums at the age of 8 years and later played the Piano and the Bass guitar. I am currently into music production where I make music for recording artist playing the drums, piano and bass guitar. That there is a creativity in every musician to be original in their music and yet the world would adjust and hear them out. However, to reach this level of creativity, they need to PRACTICE. This can not be overemphasized. The more time each student invest in constant practice and learning, the more they get closer to finding their own sound and music. This is my approach which has been working over the years. I try as much as possible to make it enjoyable for each student and let them be passionate about it. Once they are passionate about it, they wouldn't need me to tell them to practice or force them to do assignments. I've been teaching Film Studies for over twenty five years now - it's a wonderful career which has enabled me to combine my enthusiasm for the subject, with developing effective teaching strategies to help students achieve their potential.
