I would first ask the students if they want to look at any particular topics. If the answer is yes, then I would prepare the necessary material (unless they already have their own material). If the answer is no, then we would follow a more general pattern of study. If it is the latter, then I would show them a method and then give them a similar question to attempt in order to ensure they understand it.
