Tutoring Approach:
My training revolves around clarification, scepticism and individuality. All training is time managed to ensure the student gets the most out of their lessons. We begin with a clear set objective and make sure the student has in mind the goal of every exercise undertaken. Rather than teach a list of techniques, I actively engage all students to get the most out of their individual strengths and I encourage them to look critically at what will work best for them. I promote a self-coaching concept for more efficient skill retention.
I have fully tailored programmes for online tuition via Skype or Zoom. I have my own custom-built gym for personal training.

Personal Description:
Hello to everyone,
I'm a 26 years old Hungarian saxophone player recently moved to London, and looking forward to teach music.
After successfully completing my bachelor in Jazz Saxophone at the Conservatoire of Trento (Italy), I moved to Milan where I have balanced studies and work for almost 2 years. Although I specialise in saxophone and jazz, I am able to teach the recorder, flute, and (classical) music theory.
I started learning music with the Kodaly method at the age of 5 and have been studying, playing and teaching music ever since. As a freelance and private saxophone and flute teacher, I always try to apply that same method when teaching my students.
I have a great experience of performing with various big bands and smaller groups, such as quartet and trio formation in Hungary and Italy as well.
Teaching Experience:
I was teaching in the past three years in Italy, private students and in a music school as well. Most of my students were complete beginners when we met, so I have experience of teaching the basics of music and make the students like what they do.
Tutoring Approach:
My lessons cover topics like: tone production, breathing, articulation, music reading, improvisation, music theory (classical and jazz), ear training, repertoir.
I'm teaching saxophone, flute and recorder in a personalized way. I teach what the students are interested in.
In my lessons I use american books such as Jim Grantham JazzMaster Cookbook, Joe Viola books, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Mintzer and Jim Snidero methods.

Personal Description:
I`m a trained teacher, journalist and translator offering English lessons for students, executives and academics in the Peterborough area. I am particularly well-suited for helping with English for professional and business situations, writing, interview and communication skills. I hold a CELTA certificate for teaching English with an A pass grade. Having previously lived in Italy for six years and taught there, I have a lot of experience teaching English to Italian speakers, but I am open to students from anywhere. I have spent time in several European countries and understand the challenges faced when trying to pick up or perfect a foreign language. Lessons can be held at my house in central Cambridge, at an office/location in town, or remotely on Skype. Quoted price is for students who travel to me, and those I teach online. Additional costs apply if I travel to a student's location.
Teaching Experience:
Three years of experience teaching English as a foreign language to individuals and groups of up to 12 people.
CELTA certificate for teaching English as a foreign language.
Tutoring Approach:
I tailor the lessons around the requirements of the student. I like to do as much conversation as possible, and work on grammar points that come up along the way. As I am a trained journalist I often incorporate discussions of articles and current affairs into the sessions, and I am good at helping students with interview practice and communication skills.

Personal Description:
I am a medical doctor graduating from St George's University of London with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences (BSc) from Queen Mary University of London
As someone who used to struggle in school, I want to make a living from teaching the next generation of pupils and students and giving them an easier time as the curriculum continues to become more advanced.
I love using basketball and the gym to pass the time, as I believe being physically active is paramount to maintaining health of both the mind and body; as well as gaining transferrable skills for other aspects of life (for example, studying!)
Teaching Experience:
I have initially tutored many in my secondary school, as my "career" has progressed, more families in my area have been given recommendations and have contacted me to teach their kids, until I have eventually decided to make this more of a profession, and learn more about teaching. I used to work for Exact Tutor part-time in several branches in East and West London, and have received personal training from a former tutor from MedicMind - a very reputable tutor programme designed to prepare students applying for med school.
In more recent times, I have given broader talks to the public about various topics such as COVID, cancer, psychiatric disorders and advanced personalised medicine.
Tutoring Approach:
The most important rule is to focus on the student instead of how you teach them, or more generally, respond accordingly instead of preparing for a series of potential hypothetical situations.
My whole life, I found that most often, 'plans' or 'strategies' were entirely flawed in many cases. With the number of assumptions one would have to make, a single change in these conditions destroys your plan completely.
What I'm trying to say is that not all students are going to be the same, I for one, was a slow learner, whereas many other would pick up on a concept quickly.
So what is my point? I do not rely on ridiculous, repetitive algorithms for teaching students; I prefer to analyse my students learning capabilities as I teach them and prepare tasks based on their performance in mini-tests and recap sessions.

About me:
A friendly, patient, supportive and passionate tutor with +10 years maths tutoring experience, dedicated to going the extra mile to help learners develop a clear understanding of maths topics, build exam confidence and improve grades.
Academic Background
My background is in Mathematics and Education. I studied BSc Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University and then graduated with BA Education with specialism in Numeracy at University of Stirling, which has led me into tutoring mathematics.
My tutoring experience
I am from the Bishopbriggs area and a former Bishopbriggs Academy student. I have been tutoring mathematics for +10 years, supporting students of all ages at different levels from primary to secondary level maths, both in-person and online across many parts of Glasgow such as the East Dunbartonshire Area: Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, Kirkintilloch, Bearsden, Milngavie and the Robroyston. Additionally, I have also tutored in areas outside of the East Dunbartonshire such as many parts of North Lanarkshire: Cumbernauld, Moodiesburn and Stepps and Glasgow City Council - Southside & Newton Mearns, tutoring pupils all over different parts of Glasgow. I have tutored at pupil's homes, my own and even online, if distance is an issue. I am more than willing to travel to other parts of Glasgow to provide the support where it is needed.
Extra about my services - Online Tutoring
Lastly, if distance is an issue, the option for online tutoring is available. The online lessons are easy to arrange, set-up and easy-to-use. The programme I use has all the necessary features for online teaching and above all it is free. I will also provide the necessary information to guide you through the process, if needs be. More information on this will be given upon request.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching experience in schools
I have also previously worked in numerous primary and secondary schools for many years across the East Dunbartonshire - Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch/ Lenzie and North Lanarkshire in the Cumbernauld area. This experience has allowed me to become a tutor with a strong maths understanding and familiarity with all levels of the school curriculum, assessments, exam and school procedures and exam topics and SQA marking scheme.
Student feedback
Over the years, I have consistently received overwhelming positive feedback from numerous students and parents, expressing their satisfaction in how much they liked my support in improving pupil's grades, confidence and exam performance. Previous pupils and parents have commonly said: "I like the way you explain things", "I find it easier to understand maths", "I feel more confident in maths", "she is more confident in maths", "I like the feedback in their progress" and "you have been very supportive". This has inspired me to continually and actively dedicate and provide my services to supporting pupils all over Glasgow.
Tutoring Approach:
Teaching Approach
I adopt a direct, systematic, step-by-step teaching approach, where lessons are structured in a way that makes maths easy to understand. Lessons will firstly focus on identifying gaps in knowledge, reinforced with ample practice questions and then progressing to past-paper level questions. I believe that the more you practice, the more confident you will become. This allows pupils to go into exams with confidence.
What will you get out of the lessons?
1. A structured, step-by-step teaching approach so lessons are clear and easy to understand with clear topic summary notes for revision and consistent updates on learner progress.
2. Lessons will be tailored around the pupil's learning needs and will firstly identify gaps in knowledge to establish a starting point, reinforced with ample practice questions and building towards exam-level questions. They will cover all maths topics but will prioritise specific areas the pupils have difficulty with or wish to focus on to ensure a strong maths foundation.
4. Provide homework & assignment support, guidance with classwork, exam preparation and past-paper practice.
5. Past-paper revision techniques and plenty of exam practice so pupils can feel confident going into the exam.
6. Recommendations of any books and teaching resources for exam practice will be provided.
If you have any queries please feel free to contact me via email or phone. I'd be delighted to answer any questions. I look forward to working with you. Thank you.

Past A level Examiner in Biology; and Syllabus writer, question setter, and Examiner in PE & Sport Science.
BTEC Level 3 National in Sport and Exercise Science Unit 13: Nutrition for Sport and Exercise Performance.
Author of Biology books for Heinemann, Pan Books, and Feltham Press. Owner/originator of Home Advantage Education Website with material for GCSE Science; AS & A level Biology, Human Biology, PE & Sport Science (with much free material). Lab guides for Philip Harris Ltd.
Active in all sports.
Teaching Experience:
Years of full-time teaching experience in Biology, Human Biology, and Sport Science from GCSE to Degree level - in Schools, Colleges, The Open University, and private tuition face-to-face and online.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is to respond to the student's requirements at all times.
A paid 'hour' includes providing preliminary and follow-up material.
Through my extensive work with examination boards, I am very aware of the marks lost by candidates on topics they clearly understand but do not gain credit for due to a lack of full explanations in their answers. So the setting and marking of past examination questions is an essential part of the preliminary and follow-up material - at all stages - but particularly for those in their final examination year, and even more so in the weeks before the final external examinations.
Communication is via phone and exchanged emailed attachments shared with a responsible adult.

Personal Description:
Welcome. I provide Art Tuition for children & adults of all levels, online and in person. I share with you my wealth of experience in teaching GCSE and A level Art and Portfolio preparation. I help you make Art progress in line with your creative goals.
Teaching Experience:
I`ve taught Art, Design and Photography for a wonderfully long time! first one to one lesson was in 1999, and I was an Art teacher in schools and colleges for over 15 years (I`m OGCE qualified). I have a wealth of experience in GCSE and A level Art and Portfolio preparation. In my 6 year role as Deputy Head of House, I worked in pastoral care and with those with SEN. I taught advanced life drawing classes at Ericaceous Art School in Dorking, worked for a special royal family, and also for Toyota, UK. Teaching Art is my true passion which I've honed and strengthened for over 20yrs. I`m as dedicated now as ever in sharing Art skills with creative learners.
I founded my art company in 2017 in Reigate. Over a few years I grew our community of like minded Art tutors and students coming together to share our Art passion. Outgrowing our first studio, Covid lockdowns created an opportunity to move to a beautiful studio space. We developed and diversified our Art tuition offering. We won `Social Impact` category at Reigate & Banstead Business Awards, and RBBC Entrepreneur Academy in 2022. As well as providing Art Tuition for over 100 students per week, we created murals, teamed with ESDAS, worked in schools and for charities, held Open Days and special Art events, and most importantly made connections with so many wonderful local families and individuals. I know anything is possible, failures are welcome, and we create our own definitions of success.
Tutoring Approach:
My experience of being an artist and mother is encompassed in my Art tuition.
Artist: I loved making when I was little, although my creations rarely won the many Art competitions I entered! I drew my dreams, my sleeping father, doodled in church, and copied cartoons. Then my Art education at school began. I graduated from Kingston University with an Illustration degree and a distinction for Life Drawing. I exhibited in West Sussex and in the Conningsby Gallery, London, and curated an Art exhibition in Carthage, Tunisia. I specialise in oil painting, have travelled extensively in Europe on location drawing trips, and I've been part of Surrey Artist's Open Studios. I paint regularly in my home Art Studio in Reigate; Art is a life time journey for me.
Mother: My daughters are teenagers now and it`s a privilege to have two girls with whom to share each and every day. Motherhood is an amazing experience which opened up my understanding of people and strengthened my teaching and learning methods. My gratitude and appreciation found new heights through my children. Whether they enter the world of Art, martial arts, or any other field, I`m glad to counsel them that love is not to be sought after but discovered within.
