Personal Description:
I like being a teacher and I get true enjoyment from sharing my knowledge and skills with new learners, making them realize how easy learning can be and how much actually they do know already. I like helping young people enjoy learning and making learning easy for them. I am patient and adaptable and easy to talk to. I always discuss the needs of my new pupils very carefully and aim to build their confidence in the subject. As an Examiner with a well-known Board, I am able to help my students to maximise their potential using targeted revision and exam techniques.
Teaching Experience:
I have been a teacher for many years. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I have worked in several schools now, gaining experience from working with a variety of learners of various ages and learning styles. I have worked within the requirements of more than one exam board, therefore I am quite familiar with all exam formats. I have been a tutor also for 10 years with very good results. Students do like me within first session, gaining confidence and self reassurance that they are capable of a lot already. Only some issues need re-addressing, building on their prior knowledge. I work as an Edexcel and SATs expert examiner. I am recommended as a tutor by Emmanuel College and Cardinal Hume School in Gateshead, as both schools know me well. Among other teaching positions I have been a classroom teacher at Lord Lawson School in Birtley and Whitburn School in Sunderland. I have worked as an intervention teacher (one to one teacher) in a few schools already, due to my extensive experience gained along the past years.
Tutoring Approach:
Within the first session, I discover the individual needs of my learners, their strengths and weaknesses. Then I devise a plan to address the whole programme of study within the number of weeks available, so no topic is ignored. I work simultaneously on exam requirements, but also on skill development, skills that the student can benefit from, outside the boundaries of a specific exam format. Students find themselves forgetting the time, often engrossed in their work, mentally challenged and stimulated. I set short homework at times, so that students can practise independently on those skills they develop with me, being reassured that they can transfer those skills further. I do provide learning materials which I do personalize for each student. I am very likable and I do make young learners be at ease within minutes of meeting them.

Personal Description:
I am a native English speaker and have been studying languages for 20 years. I have travelled to many countries and experienced many cultures. I know speaking a language fluently is so important to enjoy new experiences. I have a Degree in Linguistics and have been trained in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/TESOL). I have a variety of experiences in teaching, training and tutoring. Although I am originally from Australia I am now based in London. I have spent time learning Russian, Spanish and German, so I know how useful it is to have someone helping continuing to build vocabulary and correct language use. I also know how hard it can be to get started learning a new language. I will be sure to find out what you want to learn and how you enjoy learning the most.
Teaching Experience:
I have a Degree in Applied Linguistics and have been trained in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/TESOL). I have a variety of experiences in teaching, training and tutoring in the workplace, in group and one-to-one sessions with both adults and children. Although I am originally from Australia I am now based in Crewe. I have spent time learning Russian, Spanish and German, so I know how useful it is to have someone helping continuing to build vocabulary and correct language use. I also know how hard it can be to get started learning a new language.
Tutoring Approach:
My initial focus will be to spend time finding out what you want to learn and how you enjoy learning the most. My focus will be what you identify as needing help with, as well as giving feedback on how your language skills are progressing. I am most happy providing conversational English practice so that you can improve your skills in interacting with others, either at work, or study or even just travelling with greater ease. I am happy to provide exercises and tasks for you to work on as well as English conversation.
I am happy to meet you wherever is convenient - perhaps a local cafe or library. I can also tutor in my home or yours if that is easier. I am happy to tutor via Skype following a first meeting if travel is an issue.

Personal Description:
I'm a certified teacher working as a tutor for students in Norfolk and across the UK. In university I completed a specialist in psychology, while also minoring in English literature. I also completed my teachers' training, specialising in English, as well as excelling in teaching maths and technology. Here is a list of the subjects and levels I tutor:
Psychology for GCSE and A-Level.
English for Key Stages 1-3 and GCSE.
Maths for Key Stages 1-3 and GCSE
Computer Programming for all ages.
I mainly focus on online tuition, delivered using Skype or other platforms. While most of my online students are in KS3, GCSE and A-Level (and degree students for psychology), this option can work for students who are in year 4 and above, so long as they are familiar with the basics of using computers. For maths, I make use of Idroo, an online whiteboard which is useful for practicing questions. For computing, I am able to assist with programs relevant to both Microsoft Windows and Chromebook.
Please see the "Subject Taught" section below for rates per subject and level.
Also, don`t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Teaching Experience:
I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. In 2016 I started offering online tuition, first using Skype, and now with Zoom. I now tutor virtually all of my students online, though I will occasionally tutor at a student's home when my schedule permits.
Tutoring Approach:
For younger students, I assess them on their first appointment to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. I then focus the lessons on the areas they need improvement in, using an individualized approach that is suitable for that particular student. I also help students prepare for examinations, such as the GCSE; in this case I mostly focus on giving them tasks and questions that resemble what they will face on their tests.
For A-level and degree students, I'm usually asked to provide assistance with a specific task. For example, I've helped my students construct outlines in order to structure their essays, answer typical questions that will come up on their exams, and proof read their essays to check content, clarity and grammar. I can also clarify theories that are difficult to understand and help students generate ideas for their thesis.

Personal Description:
I am a native Spanish (Madrid) online tutor with +5 years of experience teaching Spanish. I am a very patient, goal-driving, and enthusiastic, and throughout my career as a private tutor for more than 5 years, I have changed so many students' lives when it came to languages, by turning something boring for them into something very interesting with amazing results. All my students have retained at least 90% of everything after my classes and that is a very high-quality standard. My classes are fun, efficient, smart and I also provide very interactive material. My passion for travel and languages has taken me across the world allowing me to quickly adapt to any environment, culture, or student. I love sports especially football, skiing, tennis, golf, and surfing.
Teaching Experience:
5 years of experience as a private tutor in SPANISH from Madrid. I am a goal-driven tutor: your success is my success, give me the goal and I will train you to achieve it. I believe that each person has a different learning process and the KEY to my success has always been to recognise which way my students can learn more efficiently. In my classes, we will focus straight away on your goals (GSCE, A levels, University, IB, Adults…), whether if it is an exam, homework, a very specific task or start with a language from scratch. On the other hand, if you are looking forward to fully understand a language and being able to speak it fluently, we will work in 4 areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. The methods I follow for a dynamic learning experience are: smart speaking, videos, interactive whiteboard, real-live game situations, and repetition. I want to make teaching fun and efficient, so I will track you
Tutoring Approach:
As an online Spanish tutor, my approach is centered around creating a positive and supportive learning environment for my students. I firmly believe that language learning should be an enjoyable and engaging experience, so I strive to make each session interactive and dynamic.
My first step as a tutor is to understand the specific needs and goals of each student. Whether they are beginners looking to grasp the basics or advanced learners seeking to enhance their fluency, I tailor my lessons accordingly. I conduct a thorough assessment of their current language level and identify areas that require improvement.
Conversational practice forms the foundation of my approach. I encourage students to actively participate in discussions, role-plays, and real-life scenarios to build confidence in their speaking skills. I provide them with practical vocabulary and phrases that they can use in everyday situations, making the learning experience relevant and immediately applicable.
Grammar and syntax are essential components of language learning, and I make sure to present these concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. By incorporating visual aids, interactive exercises, and multimedia resources, I keep the learning process engaging and memorable.
To foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Spanish language, I incorporate cultural elements into my lessons. By exploring literature, music, and traditions from Spanish-speaking countries, my students gain a holistic understanding of the language's cultural context.
Regular feedback and progress assessments are vital to track my students' growth and identify areas that may need additional focus. I encourage open communication, and I am always available to address any questions or concerns they may have outside of our tutoring sessions.
As an online Spanish tutor, I strive to inspire a lifelong love for learning the language. My goal is to empower my students to communicate effectively in Spanish, whether for personal, academic, or professional purposes. By being patient, understanding, and flexible in my approach, I ensure that each student receives the personalized attention and support they need to thrive on their language journey.

Personal Description:
I am a dedicated and passionate teacher currently working with primary 1/2 students, and I have had experience working with children of all ages. I am GTC registered and have an PVG to work with children. Outside of the classroom, I have been involved in Girl Guiding and have had various opportunities to engage with children in different school settings. This has allowed me to develop a well-rounded understanding of how children learn and grow in different environments.
Teaching Experience:
Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of working with children from ages 4 to 16, and I am now offering tutoring in subjects such as maths, literacy, and social studies subjects including sociology, criminology, and modern studies for National 5 students. I take pride in tailoring my lessons to suit the individual needs of my students, helping them not only meet but exceed their learning goals. My experience with a range of age groups and subjects has provided me with the tools to create engaging and effective lessons.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where students are actively involved in their learning process. I focus on active learning techniques and repetition, ensuring that key concepts are fully understood and retained. I always strive to align my lessons with the Curriculum for Excellence, ensuring they are both relevant and challenging. By incorporating various strategies such as hands-on activities, real-life applications, and positive reinforcement, I aim to help students build confidence in their abilities while achieving academic success.
I will be offering opportunities from now until August to get your child ready to begin Primary 1 in regards to literacy and maths. This can be in the form of 1-1 sessions or group sessions that will help develop social skills too! Personal Description:
I am Dr Satnam, a Cambridge graduate and currently specialising as a psychiatry doctor in the UK. My background in medicine, combined with my passion for teaching, allows me to deliver structured and engaging tutoring sessions in biology, chemistry, psychology, clinical skills, and advanced psychiatry. Having navigated the challenges of medical school and postgraduate exams myself, I understand the complexities students face and aim to provide the strategies and support I wish I'd had during my studies.
Teaching Experience:
I have over 10 years of tutoring experience, beginning during my gap year after achieving 3 A*s at A-level, where I supported students in mastering challenging concepts. At Cambridge, I participated in small group supervisions, mentoring junior medical students through complex material. Now, as a practising psychiatrist, I continue to tutor medical students across all years, focusing on clinical skills, exam preparation, and advanced psychiatric topics.
I am also developing a comprehensive online platform for MRCPsych Paper A and B exams to provide concise, exam-focused study materials and practice questions.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is interactive, personalised, and grounded in evidence-based techniques. I simplify complex concepts using clear explanations, visual aids, mnemonics, flashcards, and concise notes. I incorporate active recall and spaced repetition to enhance retention and understanding. My lessons are tailored to individual learning styles, whether focused on foundational concepts or advanced exam preparation.
