Teaching is my vocation; I am an excellent French and Spanish Teacher. I was trained at Kingston College and have a large experience with children, young adolescents as well as adults. I am a fluent native Spanish and French Lecturer. I have a UK teaching and lecturing diploma with an extensive practice in the UK as well. I give Spanish and French linguistic lectures, Culture and Diversity immersion programs. My academic formation is Anthropology and Linguistic as well as Historian. I am also certified in forensic court translation (3 languages) and I have worked frequently in this area. I am a graduate in Mathematical Economics from the University of Birmingham. My original career was as a Chartered Management Accountant but I always had the ambition to move into teaching. I have been tutoring children one-to-one since 2012. I also run a maths and English training centre for 3 to 14 year olds. I was a governor in a primary and then a grammar school for many years before entering the teaching profession. I was on the GTP training course for Secondary Mathematics at London South Bank University before deciding to go down the tutoring route. Many pupils find the transfer from primary to secondary schooling academically challenging. I can explain the underlying mathematical concepts and show them how to approach questions so that they can get into the maths set they deserve. For older pupils I will build their confidence by presenting topics in a variety of ways to find one that makes sense to them. I will help the students improve their exam techniques.

Having completed my first degree in French and German at Oxford University in June 2013, I returned to Belfast to complete first a MA in Medieval History, and then a further MA in Translation Studies.

Since 2009, I have been teaching English, French and Russian to students of all ages (0+) and abilities. As part of tutoring, I successfully prepared candidates for Russian State exam in English. More recently in 2016, I have been working as a French teacher in one of the top 5 schools in Moscow. Learning Russian might be challenging as the pronunciation is different and reading Cyrillic takes time to get used to, yet it opens a whole new world to you and I can't wait to help you explore it!

I have found that in essay subjects it is helpful to break down each question that could come up in an exam into the assessment objectives required.
