I am an experienced and senior physics and maths teacher. I obtained my degrees (BSc, MSc and PhD) in Physics from prestigious universities. I have more than 15 years` experience in teaching and lecturing Maths, Physics and science in schools and universities. Meanwhile, I also privately tutor different level and year group students over the years offline and online.

I am very patient and can explain the difficult points in understandable ways. By identifying and diagnosing tutee`s weakness and problems in learning, I then design a bespoke tutoring plan for my tutees to make up any ineffective and insufficient learning and teaching. I currently Subject Lead in Art and Design in a secondary school in Bishops Stortford and have a first class honours degree in Illustration and extensive skills in digital media including web design, image manipulation and design for print. Particular strengths of mine are life drawing and painting. I also have skills in textiles, quilt making, sewing and other crafts. I often like to introduce my students to new ways of working by combining media in creative ways. I have a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design as well as an MA in Art and Design in Education. I have successfully led groups of students through GCSE and A level courses in Art, Design, Graphics and Photography for over 13 years. I enjoy the creative process, especially when it is shared with others and I pride myself on helping students achieve the highest levels in public examinations. My students regularly achieve A*/level 9 and in the June 2024 series one of my A level students was commended as receiving one of the highest marks in the country from the exam board OCR. I can also advise on higher education courses and portfolio presentation for university application.

Teaching Experience:
I currently subject lead in a successful secondary school in Bishops Stortford I have worked in three schools across East London as part of my PGCE course and I have subsequently completed my NQT year in Dagenham Park Church of England School where I successfully led students of all ages through KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum and examination requirements.

Tutoring Approach:
If you are struggling with any area of art and design I can help you. I have outstanding teacher residuals and I regularly radically improve my students grades; whether you are aiming for a C grade pass or want to push yourself to an A* at KS5 or level 9 at GCSE I can help you meet your targets.

I am available to tutor in students homes if appropriate however I also have a home studio equipped with screen printing equipment, sewing machine and ample working space, as well as digital imaging software. I can provide basic equipment with ease, additional costs may be needed for larger projects. I am available every evening and weekend during the days for tutoring.

I have tutored on a 1:1 basis during my time in school, helping one child get from L3 to L4 in maths in Year 6. My approach was to reinforce what the child needed and to always put their needs first. I am an outgoing, patient, and hard-working girl with short hair. I have finished both of my master's degrees at the University of Warwick within the field of Engineering and started to work on my Ph.D. degree from the Nov of 2020 for Autonomous Vehicle also at the University of Warwick.

Outside of my academic work, I have pursued many extracurricular undertakings throughout my life. During my undergraduate study, I served as the University of Liverpool Flash Mob Society President and led huge street performance activities which were broadcast by CCTV13 and several other television channels. Despite attending school in China, I took English A-Levels and I have attained high marks in English language exams. Further, I am a talented musician and, at the age of 11, I obtained a Level 9 certification (UK Grade 8 equivalent) in the electric organ. Also able to join several excellent internship opportunities.

I have been worked in a company which teaches English to under-achieving Chinese children. These experiences have greatly improved my skills in self-assessment, teamwork and communication.

I have taught some friends I met at the University who were interested in Mandarin and after a term, they can do simple conversation with me.

I prefer to teach Mandarin based on a book with exercises on it. But I also believe that the most effective way to learn a language is freestyle conversation with different theme after several basic lessons. Since 2009, I have been teaching English, French and Russian to students of all ages (0+) and abilities. As part of tutoring, I successfully prepared candidates for Russian State exam in English. More recently in 2016, I have been working as a French teacher in one of the top 5 schools in Moscow. Learning Russian might be challenging as the pronunciation is different and reading Cyrillic takes time to get used to, yet it opens a whole new world to you and I can't wait to help you explore it!

Having gained 13 years of teaching experience, I am able to adapt and be flexible to students with different abilities providing them with material most suited to their level. Tutoring Approach:
The first lesson is vital for understanding the student's needs and determine their ability. This is normally done by tests, speaking or engaging games - depending on age. Afterwards, I like to go straight into the teaching process bearing in mind the student's and parent's request. I use different course books throughout the lesson.

Depending on the language level, I may suggest reading, watching films or listening to music to get the grips with understanding the language as well as some grammar exercises to consolidate the knowledge. The learning is very friendly and authentic but still includes tests to obtain results wanted.

For example, if I'm teaching Math's to a Year 1 student, I start with the basics addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I make sure the student understands the concept behind each problem, because once they understand it, they're already halfway to solving it. After that, I encourage them to try solving questions in their own way. If they make mistakes, I guide them patiently until they understand the correct method.

I have a B.Sc. in Developmental Biology and Biochemistry from Aberdeen University and a PhD.D. in medical science from Glasgow University.
