I am a working actor and a Graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Before going to drama school I went to The University of Nottingham where I achieved a first class degree in English Language and Literature. I am self-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about Drama and English.

Teaching Experience:
I currently work as a drama facilitator with West End in Schools delivering drama, history and PSHE workshops in primary schools. I have now been tutoring privately for over 10 years with work ranging from Primary Maths and English, Creative Writing, Drama School, LAMDA and Audition preparation, 11 +, GCSE and A - Level English and Drama. I tend to use a variety of methods when teaching, depending on the child and their needs, focusing on their age and what their syllabus requires. I am capable to do quick summarised revision sessions, as well as long term lesson plans. Either way I ensure that the student is always given homework and stays revising. If appropriate I also do small mastery tests at the start of each lesson which consists of a five minute recap test, so the student is required to have revised the previous lesson well. Obviously if they struggle with the homework or mastery test, then the lesson plan's pace is adjusted to meet the child's level. This helps to ensure that the student masters each topic before moving on to the next.

Painting and exhibiting for over 15 years professionally, specialising in oil & acrylic portraiture, landscape and abstract subject matter, My paintings foundation is from a hyper-realistic background, a portrait style which I studied and explored during and after my university education, while in recent years expanding to expressive mark making and more ambitious subject matter.
My main passions are within the visual arts and teaching drawing and painting. I would encourage students studying for grades to follow certain assessment checkpoints which would be revolved around contextual and method referencing, self reflection, experimentation and consolidation. These are skills which are easily transferable to whatever stage you're at with your art practice.

Ater getting my first degree, I then decided to do a masters Degree in Chemistry and passed. In my University days, I have always loved Maths and Science and in my first year at University, I did Physics, Chemistry and Maths. I have a very high understanding of Maths because of my passion for Maths and I have solve several problems in Maths, Physics and Chemistry up to A level. I am very passionate about numbers and anything that has numbers in it, I will solve. My chemical knowledge is absolutely unbelievable. I have been taeching Chemistry and Maths longer than A level Physics but I teach A level Physics in my current School. I actually started teaching as soon as I left University in 1993. In those days, I did not have teaching qualification. I then decided to get some experience outside education.
