From 2000 until 2010 I lived in Japan, and worked in a senior position for a leading Japanese technology company in Tokyo. During this time it afforded me an excellent 'real world' understanding of the Japanese language, its nuances and the fascinating Japanese culture.

A native Japanese from Tokyo with the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language. Lived in the UK for over 25 years. Specifically trained to teach non-Japanese learners. Teaching full time as a profession. My background is in graphic design but I travelled around New Zealand and Australia before coming to the UK. I taught my son Japanese singlehandedly from home without outside help and he got A* for both Japanese GCSE and A level. I take on both adults and students ranging from adults with Japanese connection in business, students who are studying for GCSE/JLPT. Intermediate Level:
After completing "Genki 1 & 2" students move on to the "Intermediate Japanese Across the four language skills Quartet" to improve conversation, listening and natural expressions.
This prepares them for advanced-level studies.

Student preparing for the JLPT:
Preparing for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) engage in reading level-appropriate books,
practicing sentence patterns, reviewing vocabulary and kanji, and mock tests.

Travel Japanese Focus:
Learn practical Japanese for your trip - greetings, restaurants, shopping, transport and asking for help.
Pronunciation is corrected so you can be understood clearly by native speakers.
Start at least 3 months before your trip to build confidence and enjoy a stress free experience in Japan.
