Hello! My name is Yoko. I was born and raised in Japan, spent seven years living in the UK, and now live in Yokohama.
I enjoy traveling, watching films, reading, and - most of all - connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I always look forward to hearing what sparked your interest in Japan and the Japanese language!

I've been teaching Japanese online for over five years, and I feel incredibly grateful that many of my students have continued learning with me for a long time.
I also taught Japanese on a leisure course at a college in the UK.
My lessons are friendly, flexible, and tailored to each learner's goals - whether it's speaking more naturally, preparing for an exam, or exploring Japanese culture.
The Japanese language can be somewhat challenging for students to grasp. However, by developing a solid foundation and building a wide vocabulary, the process becomes achievable and rewarding for everyone.
For students who plan to use Japanese in a working environment, I have a strong understanding of both Business Japanese and Japanese business etiquette, and can provide practical, culturally informed lessons.
I aim to offer lessons where you not only enjoy learning Japanese but also gain deeper insights into Japan and its culture.

Half-hour lessons available for young learners (£10)
Explanations can be provided in English if needed.
