Hello! I'm Keiko, a native Japanese tutor based in Cheshire, in the UK. I love helping people from all backgrounds not just learn Japanese, but truly enjoy the experience and feel confident using it in everyday conversations.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking and discovering delicious food from around the world . I love travelling, spending time with my Jack Russell Terrier Stella, and learning new things myself - at the moment, I'm studying Spanish 🇪🇸 and having fun with guitar, drumming and dancing. As a fellow learner, I really understand the ups and downs of studying a new language.
Whether you're just starting out, returning after a break, or looking to build fluency, I'll guide you in a supportive and enjoyable way - no need to be perfect, just open to learning at your own pace. Lessons with me are friendly, relaxed, and focused on steady progress.

I've been teaching Japanese for over 10 years, both online and in person, to learners of all ages - from young children and teenagers to adults at every level. Each lesson is carefully tailored to suit your individual needs, goals, and interests.
