All the CGP books are excellent resources, and I use them extensively in my private tutoring. I have used several different types of revision guides and workbooks in the past (including Letts and the ones produced by the exam boards themselves), but I always recommend the CGP material to my pupils.The workbook is an essential companion to the revision guide - there is only so far a revision guide will take you in your revision. What you really need is a good amount of practice, and even more so in Physics where there is considerably more "applying your knowledge to solve a problem" style questions than subjects such as Biology (where most of the questions simply require you to understand and remember facts and processes). The CGP workbooks always provide the practice you need after you've worked through the corresponding page in the revision guide. The board-specific ones are always best, i.e. the ones that say AQA or Edexcel on the front. Excellent workbook with answers at the back which makes teaching easier than the old two books. Questions are varied and appropriate to the various grades making it easy to give students of different levels work that meets their needs.
