       Helpful walkthrough of the play.,

This book was incredibly helpful with my GCSE's, it is a complete walkthrough of the play with annotations the whole way through. Some strong points it enforces that the examiners loved to see in your essays. At times I wished there were more detailed annotations for some points but in general it covered everything needed. It was also a little busy visually at times with a few too many colours and cramped text but once you got used to it, it wasn't too distracting. Overall I would recommend this book as a revision aid.

even more fun than when i did macbeth at o'level,

i haven't read all of this yet, but so far i've enjoyed it even more than when we did it at o'level.we read julius caesar in the third year and i thought it was boring. i still think julius caesar is boring at 51 years. but macbeth was like a juicy steak of a play, not a lettuce sandwich, what with all the intrigue, skullduggery and supernatural content. this book gives you a guide as to what the text means, as you read it, so you appreciate the story more.doubley double toil and trouble, a bit like my life these day. i hope i don't end up like macbeth, but i haven't murdered anyone, so i might survive yet. i got an A for english literature and language, but if we had this guided text, perhaps i would have achieved an A star? as it was, we had a fab teacher, mr powner, and he brought macbeth to life for us really well. that lady macbeth has got a lot to answer to, but macbeth should have had more sense, the daft fool.i was told twenty years ago that king macbeth was actually a good king of scotland, and that shakepeare's play was written to impress king james stuart the first of england and sixth of scotland. religion can be a doubley double thing too. it can be the worst thing in the world with the territorial wars it has caused, and it can be the most comforting thing on the other hand. "imagine."
