I bought this for my daughter in YR8 about to do her mock GCSE exams designed to decide what set she will be in for her GCSE's starting next year. My daughter does struggle with certain aspects of maths at this level and I have to say this guide has been a revelation to her. She finds it very easy to follow, 'funny'!? (yes, really) and engaging. She is able to 'zone in' on what she needs to improve on and is feeling more confident as she works through the guide. This study guide itself is detailed and easy to follow at the same time. It is clearly aimed precisely at her year group and she finds it extremely useful. Each unit includes catchy diagrams and highlighted key-words that my daughter finds easy to follow. The key-words are also presented in an easy to follow 'remember these' manner. Excellent in one parents opinion.

Disapointed by your childs performance in Maths? Or perhaps you would like to refresh your own knowledge. This booklet covers most of the subject for 11 to 14yr olds in a refreshing way.It certainly appeals to my youngster. His confidence has risen from no hope to great expectation. It is often unexpected phrases that can throw a pupil off course, and those likely to be met are included and well defined.. The facts are given precisely without repetition.. Printing, Graphs and Diagrams are clear and multi-coloured, making the guide attractive and entertaining. The paper used is of excellent quality and will, I am sure, withstand much useThe shape and weight of the booklet make it easy to pack in a bag or keep at hand.

I am a maths tutor and I have been using this book to compliment my year 9's Oxford Homeschooling course. It is laid out very well and doesn't ever describe anything in a way that doesn't make sense (which some books certainly do). It is clear as to what the student needs to learn off by heart and what needs practice to remember correctly which has made life a lot easier for me. I was honestly never a fan of CGP when I was studying myself as I found it too light-hearted, but I am appreciating it in a new light now. Would highly recommend.

Bought this for my son in year 8 who is struggling with Algebra. This makes it so easy to understand. Brilliant in other sections too. Should be a really good help.

I always used these books when I was at school but I'm finding now that although there are some helpful things within the pages there are other things that my children were learning that was not included in the book, or the examples didn't apply to reach the answers they needed.
