Tutoring Approach: Basically I am a student now, because of that I know I have to make the study become more interesting, otherwise the lesson could be meaningless. For Mandarin learner I will start from basic writing and speaking lesson, and then start to read interesting books, that will learn writing and speaking faster (might not use a textbook). For Maths student, will start from foundation formula of any level, so that the students can understand and able to deal with any kind of similar question. Physics is all about formula and understanding, will required textbook. |

| Personal Description: I have studied Spanish since 11 at my secondary school Haberdashers Askes, initially I sat Spanish for GCSE and from that point I knew I wanted to be able to speak it fluently. Thus I continued my study of Spanish through to AS and A-Level. I was not satisified with my level of Spanish and decided I wanted to further it by studying it at university as part of a joint honours course. Whilst as part of my course I spent a year abroad living in Barcelona, and studying at the University of Barcelona passing all modules. I returned to England for my final year of study achieving a 2:1 classification in Business and Spanish before setting off to Mexico for 2 months in my summer. I currently work at an advertising based company frequently employing my Spanish speaking skills |
Teaching Experience: I have had limited teaching experience yet one of my success stories is teaching both my brother and uncle Spanish, who have recently both attained an A* grade at GCSE - my uncle after leaving school 22 years ago and my brother 5 years ago at 16. | Personal Description: I am a multilingual student currently studying spanish and latin american studies at university. I have taught Portuguese and Spanish to younger family members and volunteered in after class help for younger students. I was born in the UK but grew up speaking both these languages and have achieved A*-A in GCSE and A level. I am currently on the path of achieving a 2.1 for my spanish language. |

Tutoring Approach: First off, I would have a conversation with the tutee and ask them to write a short piece of writting to see what level they are at, unless they are beginners of course. Secondly, I will find out what level the tutee wishes to gain from the lessons and structure my lesson plan around these goals. The student will have activites to complete in order to practise the spoken language such as role play sheets, watching short films, there will also be a sum up of the lesson along with a quick test to make sure the student has understood what has just been taught. |
