Information About Anne-Marie:
Personal Description:
I have taught in schools and universities for many years. I am a graduate in English and Art and Law. I have gained too the post graduate diploma in Legal Practice. I come from an educational background and follow with great interest the developments in Education.
I have a genuine interest in trying to assist students to reach their full potential. I am very patient and helping students to achieve the success that they deserve is my primary goal.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught English and Art, for many years, in independent schools to children aged from 4-16. I have prepared children for common entrance examinations and 11 plus examinations. I have taught Law at university level. I have also coached, privately, English to non native speakers and assisted candidates preparing for citizenship tests. I have taught English GCSE and enjoy helping students to prepare for those examinations. Last year I taught students privately at GCSE level and their grades improved significantly from the mock examinations, before I met them, to the final examinations after I had taught them for several months.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very patient and through experience will assess, quickly, a student's ability. I provide comprehensive tutoring, whether it be to a syllabus or assisting a child with reading, grammar or other aspects of English language. I have a passion for language and literature and hope that this will be conveyed to students. The pace of the tutorial will be appropriate to each student. I try to stretch students in a positive way with encouragement and hope that students will enjoy the tutorials. I would expect the same commitment from the students and hope that we would all strive for very high standards.
I qualified in law and pursue my interest in working and teaching in this area too.
I enjoy teaching Art to children too and have combined a serious tutorial in an academic subject with a follow up artistic activity.
