Personal Description:

I am very attentive and sensitive to current clients needs. My objectives are to get to understand my tutees learning style in order to develop appropriate lessons that will help them improve.

My methods are creative and fun enabling students to see the subject in the light of their experiences so that they can gain confidence and be encouraged in doing their best.

I am patient and will also relate to school work evaluating current school performance, noting weaknesses as well as strengths and making suggestions on areas that need improvement.

Ultimately, my aim is to get the tutee to improve in the subject whilst gaining deep understanding of the basics and applying knowledge gained to solving more complex problems

Teaching Experience:

I have over 20 years teaching, mentoring and tutoring in Maths, Science and related subjects. I have helped pupils on the 11+ and 13+ Entrance Exams, GCSE exams, BTEC and A levels.

I have taught in peoples homes on one to one basis. I have done supply teaching work in Schools and Colleges across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London.

Tutoring Approach:

One to one pedagogy after the order of Plato and Aristotle as I believe in encouraging my students to strive for excellence to attain the highest grades possible.
Working through subject fundamentals with a view to gaining full understanding of the underlying concepts, I believe will help candidates to appreciate examination question and to devise the best strategies to solving them.

I believe in working with pupils to answer past examination questions to help them gain confidence and knowhow in exam craftsmanship.
