Hannah - Wimbledon tutor
Information About Hannah:
Personal Description:
Hello, I am a 29 year old Fine Art graduate (2007) from London. I am creative and have a passion for working with people of all ages and sharing my artistic skills. I am extremely committed and passionate in what I do. I love living in London as it keeps me up to date with current exhibitions which are all on my doorstep!
My art work can be viewed on the university of Chichester website where I graduated in 2007 or the TotArt website where I occasionally work as an artist in resident teaching children art based around my own paintings.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring for just over ten years. While studying my Fine Art degree I worked part time teaching groups of adults and children art and craft skills within an art shop. I then went on to teach adults and children in a pottery painting studio in Brighton. After I graduated I worked at two different galleries but decided to move to London to pursue a career in teaching. I began teaching part time as an art tutor and have managed to progress to tutoring full time. I teach skills such as acrylic, oil and watercolour painting, drawing skills using pencils, charcoal pen ink. I also teach textiles, crafts, clay and card making. I teach all ages, 3yrs and up, as well as GCSE tuition, A Level tuition, beginners classes, adult classes, art portfolio preparation and art scholarships. I also teach an after school art club at a school in Chelsea, London ages 5-11 yrs and occasionally as an artist in residence for TotArt teaching art based around my own work.
Tutoring Approach:
With years of teaching experience and art education, my approach is to use my skills to support students of all abilities. I have experience teaching all ages variouse art disciplines, helping them to gain confidence and technique. It is important for students to gain knowledge in other artists work and gather inspiration as well as studying techniques used.
I cater my lessons to the individual, depending on ability, age, experience and personal needs. I can provide set lesson plans and materials, depending on individuals needs and have plenty of art resources available for use.
I genuinely find great pleasure in helping people, and I am positive that combining my love for art with my diverse and wide range of practical working skills will present unique job motivation, as well as exciting challenges contributing to providing a stimulating atmosphere in which to learn and have some fun with art.
