Information About Jasdeep:


Personal Description:

Having completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Economics and History, I went on to study Law at the London School of Economics in which I obtained a 2.1. I am currently taking a gap year and intend to complete my LPC next year. As a Law graduate, I took Economics as an outside module and secured a 1st in the examination. This has equipped me with the ability to teach Economics at A-Level standard. Moreover, sitting numerical examinations for a variety of different City firms has ensured that my mathematical skills are maintained at a high standard.



Teaching Experience:

I have 3 years experience in teaching children with learning disabilities; this initiated through the community service element of my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award. Moreover, I have tutored children for GCSE English throughout my A-Level period as well as volunteering as an English Teacher in India for 2 weeks.

Qualifications:
10 GCSEs (4 x A*, 5 x A, 1 x B)
A-Levels- 3 x A (Mathematics, Economics, History)
Undergraduate- 2.1 in Law, London School of Economics



Tutoring Approach:

I adopt a proactive approach to learning. Through my relevant work experiences, I found that every student has a particular teaching style to which they are best suited. I will accommodate to each student's preference and tailor my teaching style to suit the individual. Past experience indicates that students excel when they develop a passion for the subject; hence I try to make learning interesting by incorporating real work analogies. I impose a relatively demanding regime of directed independent learning in order to encourage confidence in one's own abilities and push each student to their boundaries.
