Nima - Cricklewood tutor

Information About Nima:

Personal Description:

I have recently finished my PhD in Mathematics at King's College London, where I am also tutoring part-time.
My fields of study have been related to pattern recognition in networks and game theory. I have always enjoyed teaching, and find the mechanism of learning in general quite interesting. I have been teaching for the past 10 years at various levels (from GCSE to MSc, in top universities and colleges) to various age groups (from 12 to 40 years old).

Teaching Experience:

I have experience in teaching various fields of pure mathematics, statistics, mechanics, and computer science. My recent teaching employments have been at:
- King's college London: tutor, 1st and 2nd year undergraduate.
- Holborn college: tutor, A level further pure mathematics.
- Abbey College London; tutor, A level mathematics and computer science.
- Westminster University: lecturer, foundation mathematics.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe for every new student there is a new way of describing an idea. My main principle is to make sure the student understands the material rather than simply memorizes it. I believe this to be particularly relevant to studying mathematics.
