Personal Description:
Hobbies include reading, cycling, rugby, astronomy and family.
Teaching Experience:
A qualified physics teacher, I have been teaching Physics up to A level for 11 years and am currently Head of Science at a Pembrokeshire secondary school. Also able to teach maths/further maths up to A-level.
A thorough understanding of the WJEC and EDEXCEL A level physics courses.
I am also an A level examiner for EDEXCEL units PHY2 and PHY4 and WJEC Physics Unit 2 (GCSE).
Tutoring Approach:
Can tutor 1 to 1 or in small groups. My tutoring involves generating confidence on the tutees abilities and providing guidance through the exam specification.
I have tutored several students during the last few years have these have gone on to achieve grades above those that were predicted.
Large quantities of new and relevant material available. I provide notes and assessment materials.
Can travel, work from home or online. My approach varies from student to student. Can be formal or more casual as needs dictate.
