After studying music at school in Scotland and forming my first band I soon found myself addicted to the drum kit. I was born in Oporto, Portugal, in 1969 and have lived in three countries: Portugal, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Since 2007, I've been based in London. My academic background includes studying visual arts (U. Porto; Akademie Karlsruhe) and anthropology (U. Minho; UCL). With over 30 years of teaching experience, I began teaching Portuguese in 2008.
