Personal Description:

I am a French native and I have been living in the UK for the last 25 years. I have had a very successful career in Sales in financial services and had a change of career in education ten years ago. I am very hard working, enthusiastic, reliable and professional.

I am currently teaching adults (individual and group) during the weekdays, GCSE pupils after school and Saturday and I work in a secondary school at a local state boarding school teaching Year 11 to Year 13.

My adult pupils tend to be families with a house in France, people with the desire to buy a house, retired people who would like to learn a language, people with a French partner, business people learning French for work etc... Whatever your needs, I can help you!

Teaching Experience:

I have been a Language Assistant at a local state boarding school for GCSE and A-LEVELS since 2021
I have 8 years language teaching experience at primary school
I have ten years experience tutoring adults and GCSE students at home

Tutoring Approach:

I can teach different levels from beginner to advanced depending on your needs.

I always do an assessment in the first lesson to find out about the pupil`s strengths and weaknesses. We agree together on a plan and objectives. The plan is reviewed regularly to assess improvement and get feedback from the pupil and the parents. I assign homework every week.
I have high expectations for my students and work really hard with them to achieve the best they can. I aim to give them confidence, praise and numerous skills to progress and to maintain a love for languages. I offer each of my students a tailored made approach.

I use various media from textbooks, grammatical books, videos, roleplays, games, vocabulary lists, past papers etc...
