Tutoring Approach:
During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. Every lesson will begin with an outline of the subject content and the intended aims. The key to success in maths and economics is to do it! PSYCHOLOGY
I have a BSc (First Class Honours) in Psychology from Brunel University (2007), and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge (2011). I have worked as a research fellow and subsequently as a psychology lecturer at various universities in the U.K. My research is mainly in social, health and cognitive psychology, but I also teach research methods (both quantitative and qualitative methodologies), statistics and SPSS, as well as effective academic writing, including dissertations and research projects. In addition, I have sufficient competence in personality (i.e., individual differences) and clinical psychology to be able to teach these at undergraduate level. I have published over a dozen peer-reviewed articles, including some in world-leading journals, and have over 1300 academic citations of my research. URDU
Urdu is my mother tongue, and is one of four languages that I speak fluently. I can teach beginners and intermediate students in grammar, reading and writing, as well as conversations. And I also teach advanced students in conversation. My particular interests in Urdu literature are 18th and 19th century poetry, especially ghazals.

DANISH
I am a native speaker of Danish, and spent the first 22 years of my life there. I can teach all levels of the language and its literature. Some of the key authors that I have an interest in are Søren Kierkegaard, Karen Blixen, H C Anderson, and we can also discuss Danish film, cinema, and culture. Danish is very similar to Swedish and Norwegian so by learning Danish you will be able to read those languages quite well, and you might be able to understand speech in those languages to some extend. There is also some overlap between Danish and German, though not as much.

I taught psychology to undergraduates at the University of Cambridge from 2008-2011. I then taught at King's College London from 2011-2014, followed by the University of Bath from 2014-2017 and then Bath Spa University from 2017-2022. I also supervise BSc, MSc, and doctoral students. When did you start tutoring?
I have started tutoring one of my classmates while I was still in secondary school. It was a rewarding experience and it is quite interesting to go back to those times and compare how much has changed over the years in my lessons.

Why do you tutor?
I was always passionate about explaining Maths and Science to my peers back in school but I could have never imagined that it would become such a core part of my life. Tutoring is not just a source of income for me, it's something that makes me feel valuable in society, it allows helping so many amazing students around the UK to proceed in their future studies and careers. And it was never just theory and exams that we cover during our lessons, my tutoring sessions inevitably involve critical thinking and applying the knowledge in real life, thus I can contribute to students' lives even more.

What is your biggest tutoring success story?
Creating my own professional database of exam-type questions (the aforementioned startup) proved to be a success in my tutoring career since it allowed to spend more time and energy on creating quality resources for students and reuse them during different lessons. It was hard to see the value of the questions initially, but I have noticed that some students started to appreciate them so much that they no longer want to use a textbook during our lessons and I can focus more on their solutions rather than creating questions on the spot. What is your biggest tutoring failure?

I have a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design, and have 8 years experience of working in education. I also have a degree in Theatre Design. I worked as a Visual Merchandiser for a couple of years after graduating, and then made the move into teaching.
I now work in pastoral roles within secondary schools - but actively keep up to date with the Art GCSE and A Level specs.

Teaching Experience:
I have worked as a Secondary Art teacher up to head of department level in London. Since moving up to Yorkshire 3 years ago I have worked in pastoral roles within 2 different schools, looking after years 7 and 8 and now 6th form.

Tutoring is not just filling in the gaps. I believe a Tutor should be a person of support through the difficult exam times, as well as a teacher. I work with young people to find out what their artistic style is and then help them use that to achieve their best possible result.

I am an engineer from a top engineering college and worked at several leading organisations thereafter. My love for quantitative and analytical subjects brought me to London School of Economics (LSE) where I am pursuing a specialisation in Applied Development Economics.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught mathematics and economics to school students since past 3 years. I have also taught undergrad students during my engineering education.

Tutoring Approach:
I love mathematics. I can make someone understand the problem in simple and fun way by giving practical examples. I believe in building on basic skill set repeatedly to master the advance concepts. More you play with maths more you start learning it. My approach is to first build student's confidence in mathematics by inculcating a love for the subject.
