Combining motivational coaching techniques, I offer a uniquely engaging, personally attuned service. The first lesson typically consists of a complimentary educational assessment (usually 30 minutes) to help identify key areas for improvement . All results can be shared with the parent/guardian. After leaving school, I studied at Nottingham University for a BA in Music, then for a MA in Theology from the London School of Theology. Having worked for a while at an inner-city secondary school, I went on to complete a research masters and a PhD in Biblical Studies, whilst working as a teaching affiliate at Nottingham University. I have since moved to Stourbridge to work in a local church whilst continuing academic research and writing. I first started tutoring some of my fellow students in Elementary Logic during my second year at University and greatly enjoyed helping people improve their understanding of the subject and gain higher marks. Once my degree was completed I began tutoring A-Level students in Religious Studies and Philosophy in the Leeds area before moving to East Sussex.

The potential of tutoring can only be maximised if each student feels comfortable in lessons, so I actively try to cultivate a good working relationship with each student. I am Marwa, a native Arabic speaker from Egypt. I have over 13 years of experience teaching Arabic language and Holy Quran for non-natives. I used to dive in this amazing language to taste its beauty and discover its treasures. This passion led me to change my career as a software engineer to be an Arabic teacher. And it was the best decision I ever had. Teaching Arabic is not just a job for me, it is a life where I can share my passion and guide others to live, love and learn Arabic language. Personal Description:
I love teaching Religious Studies and am passionate about giving children their voice and helping to open up the world around them. I have extensive professional and personal experience of neurodiverse learners and currently work part time with autistic young people on a one to one basis. I love reading, cooking with my family and enjoying the Devon countryside with my husband and two children.

I hold both a PGCE in Religious Studies and an MA in Teaching World Religions from Warwick University.
My undergraduate degree is from the University of St Andrews in Social Anthropology.

Teaching Experience:
I am an experienced Religious Studies teacher and former Head of Humanities. I have worked in a number of state secondary schools and at a local sixth form college so I am confident to teach GCSE and A Level Religious Studies. I am trained in the Philosophy4Children model with Socratic questioning at the heart of every lesson.

I am also an experienced exam marker for AQA GCSE Religious Studies, bringing a deep understanding of assessment expectations and effective exam preparation. I have a passion for getting to the heart of key concepts in all religions covered by the exam boards.
